Dabney Hall — Hotel in Cincinnati

okay firstly this place is like a russian nesting doll, the volleyball court is nice and you can see ppl playing there all the time and that’s nice but ppl play there all hours of the night and that gets annoying while trying to sleep, the lobby also looks nice and is a comfortable place to sit but there’s this weird door in the back corner with banging noises that come out of it all the time, some of the flooring is peeling and small issues that they kinda just cover up with furniture. the elevator was broken my first semester and i had to climb 7 flights of stairs to get to my room. the laundry room is always kinda flooded with water and peoples clothes and stuff just thrown on top of machines. My room was fine for a box of concrete other than THE GIGANTIC COCKROACHES!!!!!! my ac was great though. the bathrooms aren’t cleaned as often as they tell you they are and there is pretty much never any hot water. a good thing about dabney is it’s very social i met a lot of my friends there and we still talk after all of us have moved out. all in all not a super great place to live and it definitely looks haunted but if you’re a freshman needing a cheap place it’s not the worst thing...

I will keep it honest, this place isn't great. Go anywhere else. Seriously. It is terrible. Somebody punched the mirror off of the wall in the men's bathroom and the blood from it was still there and uncleaned for at least a week. Everyone is loud with no regard for you or your sleep. Don't bunk the top bunk becomes scorching if they turn the heat on. The only redeeming quality is the stuff I will be able to tell...

First of all, UC housing sucks. I waited 3 months to get my room switched out of Dabney. When I finally did and I finally got to check out of Dabney, I wait a full hour at the front desk for someone to show up to get me checked out. Also, the showers have black mold, which no one cared about, and it gave me multiple asthma attacks...
