The internet information about this restaurant is at least 2 years old. The menu is just substandard lunch and nothing to write home about. Service was ok (Tenisha)but nothing was done about several issues where items were sub standard that to what was printed and purported on the menu… and our bill was 112$. No manager ever came out to the table. Maverick burger was delivered in a slider size, truffle aioli on over salted crispy potatoes was tarter sauce, ordered a salad and got French fries, $17 pulled pork nachos were served in a bowl (Um, no, a plate with layers of items so you get delish in every bite), with the bottom of the bag crumbs and very little toppings. Earlier we were came from the Joe Burrow tailgate where we had lovely culinary treats. We happen to be from a very diverse Athens Ohio foodie scene. We have expectations that the food we’re pay top dollar for lives up to the descriptions and the hype on the internet reviews. Mavericks was disappointing at best, over priced and under performing. Won’t be back!

Nice restaurant, bar and lounge with upscale decor and yet a casual vibe. The bartenders are fun, friendly and provide excellent service. I only had drinks, but saw great looking food served at the bar, so I'll be back for dinner or at least try their small plates / appetizers. It's in the Cincinnatian Hotel, so it's perfect for their guests, but it's also a great stop for locals because it's within a block of Fountain Square (the heart of downtown).

The best thing about this "restobar" was the bartender. He was very attentive and friendly. He got my drinks promptly and food was delivered fast. The food wasn't that great however. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it tasted weird and the chicken was gross. The fries were overcooked. I would never eat there again. It's a shame because it was cute inside and the staff were nice.

I’m still in disbelief of what happened to my girlfriend and I at this bar. A place that we were certain was a safe place to enjoy our time, considering it was located in the 4star hotel we were staying in. Before I get started just know all of this happened last night. I took her to Cincinnati for her birthday, wanted to treat her on a night out. After buying drinks and having a great time one on one at mavericks, the bartender and the manager, standing feet away from us, start joking about a certain race. The two of us, being of that race couldn’t believe what we were hearing as guest. The bartender, then topped it off by telling the manager that he enjoys throwing things at that race. At this point, I’m livid and still to this minute absolutely sick to my stomach that I had paid this man already. I left out of there in a rage, of course. The hotels night manager comped our room, but still does not sit well with me. I’ve spent the whole day thinking about this, and thinking about how it ruined our whole trip. A place that you pay money for good treatment, slaps you with racism. I would’ve thought that the general manager of this hotel would’ve reached out to me first thing today, but still have not had a single call from them. Not only should my room be comped, my bill at the bar should be also, and Hilton owes my girlfriend and I one heck of an apology. I will be waiting to hear from the general manager, and honestly until that bartender and bar manager are fired for racism in the workplace and in front of customers, I won’t...

Of all the places to spend your money in and around Cincinnati, I wouldn’t pick this place. I would give it a zero if I could. Never got waited on at a table so had to sit at the bar to even be recognized. Maybe 10 people in the whole place at 9 pm, and we’re still waiting on our food. The bartender has no urgency and didn’t give me the beer on tap that I ordered. Finally got my order an hour later. It was good for bar food, but had to keep waving gnats away. I would avoid this place like it’s the plague. You have been warned.

*Edit - Only 22 reviews, and I'm sure some are friend's reviews, as to have so many low reviews should be alarming. The answers that the owner gives on these low reviews is comical. It's obvious that if significant change has not been made, then the owner doesn't really care about the results of the negative feedback. BTW - I am not big on writing reviews, but I really did need to warn locals and outsiders supporting Cincinnati restaurant/bars. Owner- I do not care to discuss anything with you, as looking at your replies - you just give...
