First and foremost, Redtree Art Gallery and Coffee Shop is a place that could be pretentious if it wanted, but it is not. The coffee and food are high quality. Almost more importantly, the staff is genuinely hospitable and, if you have a ton of questions, will patiently and happily answer all of them. Do not let 'Art Gallery' dissuade you from coming; it is locally produced art on exposed brick walls.
There is plenty of seating, ranging from a black leather couch that will all but swallow you, to desk-type seating, benches in the windows, and tables with chairs outside. The coffee is good, as are the desserts. Their coffee is locally roasted and their food comes from local businesses. Local artists create the art featured in this coffeeshop/art gallery. All around, it is as local as it comes, and as well all know, if you are a locally-owned business, your reputation means everything. The employees, and I would assume by default, management, care about their reputation, and serve the best. In addition to the beverages, food, and art, there is a variety of handmade gifts, such as jewelry, decor, and gift cards. You guessed it--locally sourced. This is a great place to go for a first date or a working lunch. This is also a fine place to bring that person who "just wants a cup of coffee." I highly recommend you check out the Redtree Art Gallery and...
Read moreMy favorite Cincinnati coffee spot!!! I always find myself comparing other coffee to Redtree’s! I’ve only had the lattes and specialty matcha drinks and I truly have no complaints. I prefer iced drinks and can recommend the iced caramel latte. For seasonal flavors and drinks, I love the iced pistachio latte (summer), iced tiramisu latte (winter), and my all time favorite, iced harvest latte (fall). For pastries, I can recommend the coffee cake, banana bread, or chocolate chip cookie.
It’s a great place to work, study, or get together with people! There’s plenty of tables and chairs along with a couch. There’s no limit on WiFi, they have water available, and there are outlets throughout for charging devices. If you are planning on working and need a large table, I would recommend getting there early. There’s art and plants throughout the shop which makes the space very warm. There’s items for purchase on display from local artists. The employees are extremely friendly and kind! I’ve never felt rushed and they are happy to give advice on their menu.
Lastly, they no longer have a tipping system and have slightly increased prices to account for this, which I find refreshing. They have a point system for purchases: 1 point per purchase and at 10 points you get $4.50 off...
Read moreI've come here a couple times and it seems like a pretty lovable shop. They have good-looking seasonal drinks -- not the typical stuff you see everywhere -- plus all the essentials. The banana bloom (matcha and banana milk based) was good quality, wasn't super sweet, so the flavors stood out, and had a nice crunchy topping. The plain latte showed off some good quality espresso; I'd drink it any day. Based on those two drinks, I'd probably drink anything on the menu. The shop is pretty spacious, has a few outlets, and is a good place to chill for a little while. They have a pastry case and a couple hot breakfast items made to order. Their coffee cake was very solid. My hard-to-please lady said that she loved her caramel latte, so nothing but positive opinions at this place. I'm sure I'll be back!
(In case they seem pricey to you, they don't have an option to tip when you pay with card, so the price you see is what you pay. Presumably they pay their...
