First time visiting this place and let me just say for the price of things,, it was nice. The amount of food you get is worth it. However I want to say we started out with a young lady by the name of Tasha as our server and she was on point and very attentive. But at the end of services the bill came it was 71.03. I gave her a 100 dollar bill. She only came back with 28 dollars. Considering that it may have been a mistake,, when leaving I handed her a cash tip,, but it wasn’t the amount I was going to leave her, because my family and I was just talking about how consumers are automatically taking your change and keeping it as if they don’t have it to give. But I’m not one that’s going to allow it. I don’t care if it’s a penny. You let me decide if I want u to keep it or not. You don’t just keep it taking my money from me. So because of that I said to her I don’t know if you forgot to give me my change which was .97 cents but you can just keep that change with the rest of this tip /change that I was giving her. But had she not try to steal my change her tip woulda been more than what I gave her. Cuz if you round that up that’s a whole dollar. Only 3 cents short of it. So for this reason is why I give them three stars,, cuz when I addressed the situation like that trying to stay professional her face told it all like she knew what she had did. Just imagine if she does 50 families/customers like that on a daily. She’s cleaning up on some real side money not giving customers their correct amount of change back. So people be aware and it’s ok to speak up and say to people you owe me my change. AND...
Read moreI was excited to take my daughter to Wild Eggs for her birthday breakfast but I could have taken her anywhere else and had a better experience! She ordered a BLT and it came on dry toast with a mound of lettuce and a tomato slice and that’s it. No B on her BLT. I ordered a grilled cheese and I got 2 pieces of cold toast absolutely drenched in butter. It was obviously not grilled because the cheese was not melted and it had a huge mound of ham on it! I double checked the menu and I am not crazy no where did it mention ham. It was inedible and I sent it back. The waitress was amazing and went to the kitchen and brought my daughter 4 pieces of floppy cold bacon. It also was inedible. We decided to leave and chose not to order something else. The waitress said the manager said no charge and we could leave whenever we wanted. I am compelled to add that there were only 3 other customers so not busy at all. I can’t understand why the manager didn’t come out to talk to us in person but sent our sweet waitress Zoey out to take the heat. I could tell she was embarrassed and she was put in an awkward position. I actually laughed because it was such an epic fail. So we left hungry and I felt horrible for my daughter but we did have a good laugh. I can’t imagine what the food is like when they busy. I left Zoey $10. I hope she got it. Happy...
Read moreAnother win at Wild Eggs! This dark-brown sista was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of these here United States. So fresh seafood and bayou delicacies are all I know. That being said, I tend to turn a quick side eye to anyplace in the Midwest that advertises anything Cajun/Creole on their menu. But, I decided to order the Shrimp Étouffée with Cheese Grits and pancakes with strawberry compote on the side. Few wins points about the service: I was seated within 5 minutes of my reservation on a Sunday afternoon. Win My server was amazing. Win. My food came out hot and fresh without much wait after placing the order Now about that Shrimp Étouffée: Like I said, hot and fresh. the étouffée was the perfect consistency, perfect blend of flavors and spice. I had to look around and make sure I didn’t see my Uncle walking up out of that kitchen! Shrimp was plentiful topped on those OMG cheese grits. Only thing I would say if I ordered it again would be “put me some more cheese grits on that plate”, there is very little in the way of grits on the plate. I’m glad a got a side of pancakes or I would have walked away still on the hungry side. I must highlight, this is not a shrimp and grits meal…if that’s what you are looking for. This is shrimp étouffée with a dab of cheese grits...
