Meh. The bagel is ok. The homemade cream cheese is ok. However you don't get your money's worth at all. A bagel with cream cheese had hardly any cream cheese on it at all. The lox sandwich was laughable. $11.50 and it was so void of cream cheese it was dry af. People had told me this place was very cheap with their toppings but I didn't think it would be that bad. I was there at 11:00 on a Wednesday and there were seven employees up front. Seven!! I was the only customer. Maybe do a better job on payroll and scheduling and you won't have to stiff your customers. I have no reason to return. Adding this comment due to snarky response from owner. A customer shouldn't have to ask for the amount of cream cheese they already paid for. I do not like a lot of cream cheese on my bagel. I just like a normal amount, not for it to be barely scraped across the bagel. Like I said: "it was dry". Your response shows how little you know about your own shop. Stop taking advantage of customers who are simply too nice to say something. No one wants to bite into their bagel and then walk back up to the counter looking like they're trying to get more than they paid for. Also, please explain how your comment pertains to customers who take theirs "to-go"? Do a better job managing your store. There's a lot there to...
Read moreThis place has a solid menu of bagel sandwiches (breakfast and lunch) that are customizable with tons of good options. I went with an egg, goetta, and avocado sandwich on a multi grain bagel, and it was excellent. They have true NYC style bagels -- crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. Their begal options mostly stick to the usual suspects, nothing too crazy. There was nothing boring about any of the toppings. I'd take this over the breakfast sandwiches at most breakfast/brunch restaurants out there! There's a little bit of sitting room inside, but most people seem to order takeout. It was very busy first thing in the morning, but orders were still coming out relatively quickly. This is a top-tier place and I have no doubt...
Read moreCame here for the first time really craving a NYC lox bagel. I’ve been meaning to come for a while but unfortunately it was a total disappointment. The people were really nice and welcoming but I just couldn’t understand how they had 6 people behind the counter and it still took almost 10 minutes to get the bagel. A NYC counter will have it to you in 2 with less people. The bagel itself was overpriced. I was willing to let that go but I was given a cold bagel. I ordered gluten free and I would not recommend it. I usually give small businesses the support but this experience just didn’t meet any...
