It would be difficult to overstate the quality and expert preparation of these pizzas. Our family is always searching for great pizza parlors and, for my money, this place tops the list. The night we went the owner was baking the pizzas. You can absolutely tell it's a passion for him and his staff. We made a point to compliment him on the way out and wish the business success. He took a few minutes and kindly chatted with us. Our waiter answered all of our questions about how they make the dough, find the ingredients, and what they make in-house. He even knew the moisture percentage of the dough! When your waiter knows these kinds of details it is clear the restaurant is taking their pizza seriously. Having said that, there is nothing snobby or snooty about the place. It is welcoming and has a positive, old school vibe. The pizza is New Haven styled (just not charcoal cooked). The crust is crisp and chewy, the sauce has just a hint of sweetness, and the toppings are absolutely fresh. They make their sausage in-house and it is the best I have had on a pizza.
