Tonight when I arrived at Langsam I decided to get a drink before getting work done. I ordered my drink at 8:48 and did not receive my drink until 9:04. My first thought when I got in line was that the barista ringing me up was rude and seemed annoyed I was getting in line near close. There were a few other customers who ended up getting in line right after me. The same barista kept taking orders, but there were two other baristas who did not come to help her making drinks nor ring anyone up. One of the baristas cleaning was mopping the floors and wiping down the table w/ stirring sticks, sugar, etc, while the other was doing other tasks in the back. Continuing to clean was basically pointless considering clean up would need to be done again after all customers had received their drinks. After a few minutes the lone barista actually serving customers began working on drinks again while the other baristas continued not to do their own thing. I did hear the barista helping out customers say she did not know how to make a few drinks, but again she did not have help until the barista was finished cleaning. Around 8:56 someone came up to the register to order, but the barista who was cleaning told him they were closed (without looking at the clock) unless he wanted something other than a frappuccino. Again around 8:58 two customers came up and were able to order, but a girl who arrived at 8:59 was told they were closed. I believe this completely unprofessional. While I understand the frustration of customers coming near close it should be about the customer, especially when customers are arriving...

Read moreThis place is just fine. Sometimes you get individual baristas who aren't up to speed, but that's not a reflection of the place as a whole. I'm pretty simple and don't order caramel fruity foo-foo fluffiato with 13 pumps of unicorn blood and a sprinkle of fairy dust in an enchanted goblet, so my order, coffee, is usually correct. They do run out of sandwiches with frustrating regularity though. You'd think they would adjust to that by now and order the correct amount of food. Anyway, it's close to my office and sells decent coffee. ...
