Fine dining Italian style. This restaurant, at the end of a creepy strip mall on Central Avenue, is a hidden gem. The interior is beautiful. Little lamps on each table. Linen table clothes and napkins. Friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff. Imagine our surprise to be greeted by a live band! As you are seated, you are presented with warm bread, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and an olive tapenade. All delicious. We started with shrimp Bisque. It was creamy and delicious and filled with minced shrimp. We then proceeded on to arracini served with a creamy tomato sauce. These rice balls were crispy on the outside and filled with cheese. With these two outstanding appetizers, we couldn't wait for the main course. For our entree course, we ordered Pollo Arrostito and Vitello con Fichi. Pollo Arrostito is a free-range chicken with asparagus, fresh rosemary, and lemon served over mashed potatoes. The chicken fillets were tender and flavorful with a hint of lemon. The asparagus was perfectly cooked. Vitello con Fichi is veal cutlets served with figs, red onions, and thyme in a port wine reduction sauce. This is also served over mashed potatoes. The veal was cooked beautifully. This dish reminded me of veal marsala, but the figs added a sweetness and texture not found in marsala dishes. For dessert, my wife had tiramisu. She said it was excellent. Personally, I can't stand the flavor of coffee, so I'll take her word for it. I can't wait to return.

Absolutely outstanding Italian food, best I've ever had outside of The Boot (Italy) itself. Was quite busy on Friday night so reservations are recommended, they had a beautiful violinist and band playing that really let me know I was in for something good. For an appetizer/first course I ordered calamari.Ive been on a bad streak of getting sub par chewy calamari everywhere I order it but what I got here was what I've been looking for;perfectly breaded, crispy, airy, and perfectly seasoned with lemon and garlic. One of the best I've ever had, pared with a dirty martini and I was in culinary bliss. The main course was a Penne Romanov with sausage which was absolutely exceptional, the sauce was creamy and perfectly seasoned, pasta cooked perfectly and sausage brought the whole meal together perfectly. Portions were large so I was able to bring home extras and it was a real treat the next day. Service was exceptional with refills often and water bread constantly restocked. Overall couldn't be more impressed with this establishment and will spread the word and can't wait to return.

An unforgettable dining experience at Grappa 72. We started with a bottle of Meiomi Pinot Noir, accompanied by fresh bread with olive tapenade, oil, and vinegar, plus perfectly crisp, flavor-packed arancini. For entrées, we enjoyed the Mahi Mahi special, a seafood risotto with scallops, and my personal favorite, the delectable chicken scallopino topped with five tender scallops. Each dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The ambiance sets the tone, smooth jazz in the background, chic décor, and a spotless, welcoming environment (even the bathrooms are immaculate). Service is truly impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive. Dessert deserves special mention. While I’m not sure if Grappa 72 is widely known for their homemade sweets, they absolutely should be. Their Tiramisu is perfection, and the strawberry-ricotta cheesecake with lemon zest is even more extraordinary. Paired with a double espresso, it makes for the perfect finale. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation, this is fine dining done right, from start to finish.

I've been here for special occasions before yesterday and the food is usually good. Last night, I was very disappointed in the customer service.

  1. Our food came out after the kitchen closed and after waiting an hour+ of ordering. We asked the waitress to put in 5 out of 6 of our partie's entrees because 1 of 6 people was not ready to order.
  2. at the end of the night the waitress "Sabrina" grew inpatient with our table and made it very obvious by storming away and yelling as she was walking through the kitchen door that was not too far from our table for someone else to "deal with us" after
  3. we noticed an issue with our bill. it was apparent that the waitress' frustration grew because changes needed to be made to 4) a dish of fish that was dry that was sent back to the kitchen.
  4. the restaurant decided to charge us for the fish anyway because it was the higher item compared to the entree that our company chose after sending the fish back. Two employees questioned the send back of the first dish, 1 accused us of eating most of the shrimp on the sent back dish and 1 accused us of eating half of the fish. Which is very unprofessional and shows the level of gossip that was going on behind the scenes.
  5. they refused to make the bill right and made us pay for the higher entree
  6. the highe entree shorted our party of $9. Money was never an issue but when you are forced out of paying for what you actually ate it is quite disrespectful. In all my years of dining at even more finer restaurants than this, there was never an issue with taking off a bad meal, and not charging or over charging or counting how much was eaten.... the item is removed and you pay for the entree you changed to. That is it! The service received last night was unprofessional and inconsiderate. It was not quality customer service. I could have complained about the Wine that was spilled on my shoes by the waitress and grew inpatient with that...

SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!! Went to Grappa's for a birthday celebration. Had "Sabrina" as our waiter, who SEEMED to be very pleasant during our service. However she FAILED to explain that when we requested for our food to come out without waiting for 1 person of our party that our food order would be held up waiting for that order, eventhough the person asked her not to wait because they were unsure of ordering. After a LONG WAIT our meal arrived to our table 23 minutes after the kitchen was "closed" with no explanation, but an apology for serving the food late, with the assurance that we were ok, in which we were very understanding. One meal was sent back due not being cooked right. We were prepared to just send back the order, and she gave directions that she would have the kitchen prepare a new meal after we reminded her of the "closed" kitchen and she assured that it was ok to get a new meal even after the kitchen had closed. She then charged us for the meal that was sent back, and when it was brought to her attention proceeded to storm off and talk loudly about our table within earshot, leading me to go to where she was standing with other staff to inquire about the problem due the change in her appearance of a pleasant demeanor, now very distasteful and disrespectful. Our food was brought to us 23 minutes after the kitchen closed with no explanation, she didn't know her menu prices and gave wrong quotes, offered dessert way after I inquired about the time, then appeared upset we were still there, and over charged us with no intent to fix the bill. Those on staff were not very helpful in fixing the problem. Any dining experience can be ruined with poor service and management, and this was definitely it. I will most CERTAINLY be contacting management and I will not be returning to this...

Great time at one of your recommended restaurants, Grappa 72. We had seen the positive reviews here and there over the past many months and decided to give it a try. We're glad we did! The inside was a perfect balance of tastefully done interior, conversational level of background noise, staff were well groomed, handsomely appareled and courteous. The tables, serving dishes, cutlery and napkins were very classy. We were attended by Sabrina ( facially, a doppelganger for British actress Haley Atwell). She made sure the requests were followed accurately and in a timely manner. Two of us opted for glasses of wine, while my lovely wife requested a Lemon Drop Martini. All were delicious. The Bread they brought out was very notable. Crisp on the crust but so soft and warm on the inside. We were offered both Olive oil for dipping and Butter too. We had to discipline ourselves not to eat too much but it was a contest of the wills to resist "just one more slice, I swear". I added the delightful, tasty Mushroom Bisque to my request. We shared two of the Caesar Salads (one was too small for all 3 of us while two was just a little too much). A great salad with creamy dressing, crisp Romaine, shaved Parmesan cheese and toasted croutons. For our mains we had a Pollo Antica for Bonnie, Jodi had Penne Romano and I had the Filetto De Manzo (Filet Mignon). Very satisfying portions and delightful in taste, texture. For deserts, we shared a Creme Brulee, Tiramisu and Italian Cheesecake. None of the desserts survived our greedy forks. A fantastic meal in a hidden...
