I've been here for special occasions before yesterday and the food is usually good. Last night, I was very disappointed in the customer service.
SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!! Went to Grappa's for a birthday celebration. Had "Sabrina" as our waiter, who SEEMED to be very pleasant during our service. However she FAILED to explain that when we requested for our food to come out without waiting for 1 person of our party that our food order would be held up waiting for that order, eventhough the person asked her not to wait because they were unsure of ordering. After a LONG WAIT our meal arrived to our table 23 minutes after the kitchen was "closed" with no explanation, but an apology for serving the food late, with the assurance that we were ok, in which we were very understanding. One meal was sent back due not being cooked right. We were prepared to just send back the order, and she gave directions that she would have the kitchen prepare a new meal after we reminded her of the "closed" kitchen and she assured that it was ok to get a new meal even after the kitchen had closed. She then charged us for the meal that was sent back, and when it was brought to her attention proceeded to storm off and talk loudly about our table within earshot, leading me to go to where she was standing with other staff to inquire about the problem due the change in her appearance of a pleasant demeanor, now very distasteful and disrespectful. Our food was brought to us 23 minutes after the kitchen closed with no explanation, she didn't know her menu prices and gave wrong quotes, offered dessert way after I inquired about the time, then appeared upset we were still there, and over charged us with no intent to fix the bill. Those on staff were not very helpful in fixing the problem. Any dining experience can be ruined with poor service and management, and this was definitely it. I will most CERTAINLY be contacting management and I will not be returning to this...
Read moreGreat time at one of your recommended restaurants, Grappa 72. We had seen the positive reviews here and there over the past many months and decided to give it a try. We're glad we did! The inside was a perfect balance of tastefully done interior, conversational level of background noise, staff were well groomed, handsomely appareled and courteous. The tables, serving dishes, cutlery and napkins were very classy. We were attended by Sabrina ( facially, a doppelganger for British actress Haley Atwell). She made sure the requests were followed accurately and in a timely manner. Two of us opted for glasses of wine, while my lovely wife requested a Lemon Drop Martini. All were delicious. The Bread they brought out was very notable. Crisp on the crust but so soft and warm on the inside. We were offered both Olive oil for dipping and Butter too. We had to discipline ourselves not to eat too much but it was a contest of the wills to resist "just one more slice, I swear". I added the delightful, tasty Mushroom Bisque to my request. We shared two of the Caesar Salads (one was too small for all 3 of us while two was just a little too much). A great salad with creamy dressing, crisp Romaine, shaved Parmesan cheese and toasted croutons. For our mains we had a Pollo Antica for Bonnie, Jodi had Penne Romano and I had the Filetto De Manzo (Filet Mignon). Very satisfying portions and delightful in taste, texture. For deserts, we shared a Creme Brulee, Tiramisu and Italian Cheesecake. None of the desserts survived our greedy forks. A fantastic meal in a hidden...
