While the food was very good and the wait staff was good, there is one thing we need to talk about in the modern day dining experience. Free refills will make or break your business. We were all enjoying our night quite a bit, each having a non alcoholic drink and a meal. Our first refills we had to ask for and were not refilled automatically. After this, when asked if there was anything else we would like, another round of refills was in order. However, we were informed that you get one refill then are required to pay the somewhat higher price for another soft drink. Now, in a modern day setting, anyone younger will refuse to frequent your business. It makes you question if the owner is cheap with the drinks, how cheap are they when it comes to the ingredients in my food? Was it as fresh as I thought it was? Was it worth the price? Was it possible that expiration dates may be overlooked accidentally? All these questions run through a diners head in less than 5 seconds and they make their decision wether true or not based on this simple.experiwnce.
Take for instance, us. We were enjoying our night, loved the food and experience up until that point, and because of that one thing, the lack of refills of soft drinks, we not only cashed out instead of getting desert and perhaps an alcoholic drink or two, but we also decided that was the first and last time we would ever set foot in there again. With that, our friends and family also having learned of this experience won't even consider it.
It is unfortunate that a 5 star experience turned into a 2 star just because of that. Not only did we leave, but we instead spent the money we were going to spend at the restaurant at the grocery store and bought our own drinks that way. The money the restaurant could have had they forfeited. How a business in 2017 hates money that much, to literally throw it out the door and wave goodbye,...
Read moreAfter reading some of the most recent reviews, I was a little concerned when my friend picked here to eat tonight. I had eaten here before COVID but had not eaten here since. My initial impressions on a rather quiet Wednesday night were that things are not as bad as some of these reviews make it seem. Our server was friendly and fairly quick with our drink orders. The menu, on the other hand, was a little bit of a head scratcher. It was completely different from the one online, as a couple people have pointed out, which is frustrating for people like me who like to pick out their meals ahead of time. The sandwich that I originally wanted was nowhere to be found, and the sandwich that I ended up with had different ingredients than the one on the actual menu (no cheese on the sandwich and a different dressing). The food itself was tasty, although my French fries could have been hotter. They were just lukewarm, which was pretty disappointing because the ones that were towards the bottom that were warmer were really tasty. My friend got the Jack Daniels macaroni and cheese and she said it was divine. It sure looked like it, so I have every reason to believe her. All in all, this was mostly a positive experience, but I do wish that the menu situation would get sorted out and that the food was hotter...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE! Or any Eddie O’s for that matter. On 12/3/2022 we had a party of 4 and were likely the last food check of the night. We were strongly encouraged to finish eating so they could close despite there being other patrons at the bar. We even had plates full of food being cleared without being offered any boxes. Our service was terrible! That’s not even the worst part. Our bill was $88 and we paid with a credit card. We left a CASH tip. We then received a final transaction statement of $98… Every time we call we’re told, “the manager isn’t here. They bounce around to each location”. Or my personal favorite, “they will call you back”. It’s been 72 hours and I still haven’t received a call. In fact, I personally went in on Tuesday 12/5 and the bartender was gathering information about the situation. They had the audacity to say, “Did someone leave like a $10 or $20 tip when they shouldn't have”. Strange thing to ask a customer don’t you think? Sounds like this a common occurrence. I am completely disgusted by this business and their employees. As a local, I will never set foot in this poor excuse of an...
