I went to canandaigua Starbucks today and I asked for my usual drink the one in the second picture. I wait 20 minutes for the drink so all my hot food was cold. The lady hands me a drink with little to no Carmel on the side and I asked kindly for it to be made like I showed them in the picture when I ordered it. The lady goes “I already lined it” and I’m already embarrassed because I hate asking for my stuff to be remade let alone ordering it but I said “well can you please line it like the picture I showed you.” She rolled her eyes and started making smart remarks while making it. She grabs a smaller cup and dumps a whole bottle of Carmel in the cup and handed me back the cup. I left crying because I didn’t want to cause a scene and I had my 6 year old son with me who didn’t need to hear her making anymore remarks. My husband brought the drink inside and had them remake it and she was making remarks to him about remaking it too. I’m paying $8 for a drink and I’ve asked nicely several times to have it made a specific way. I come here nearly every day and I don’t have an issue until today.
I got my drink how I like it thanks to my husband going in and some cold sandwiches after waiting 30 minutes to eat them. 😭
And by the way I ran a restaurant so I know how frustrating it can be to remake something during a rush but If you messed up something a customer paid for you remake it and don’t bully them. Read moreI have been going to this Starbucks for the last year and a half and am constantly disappointed by the drinks and service that I receive. I stop several times a month and am a fairly regular customer. I’d say that half the time the drink I receive is incorrect. I am usually able to say something and get the correct drink but most of the time that requires me turning around the car or going to park and heading inside from the drive thru. Most of the time the quality is a step above ok, on a rare occasion it’s really good.
Tonight was the last straw for me. I pulled into the drive through at 5:25 and waited 5 minutes to order. I noticed that they rang up one of my drinks incorrectly so I corrected them and they said they’d fix it. I pulled forward and waited an additional 10 minutes. When I finally got my drink I drove away with the drink they’d originally ran up and never changed. Unfortunately in the process of waiting so long I was now running way behind and had to rush to get to my destination.
I worked at Starbucks for 5 years and local coffee shops for another two. I’ve visited Starbucks all over the country because I love their coffee. I know good service. He was in there for at least 20 minutes & said that the lady in front of him was trying to buy these Starbucks mugs, but wanted to put money on her giftcard first and it took FOREVER.
