Review for Madeline’s Play Café
I recently hosted my 3-year-old’s birthday party at Madeline’s Play Café, and while the idea of the venue is great, there are several key areas that need improvement: Safety Concerns: The play area lacks adequate safety measures. The slide is particularly dangerous for young children as there is no proper platform for them to land safely at the bottom, causing them to get hurt. Additionally, the tables and corners are not child-proofed, making it risky for toddlers who are prone to bumping into things. These issues need to be addressed urgently for the safety of the kids. Service Issues: The service was disappointing. We paid for juices for all the children, but they were served in regular glasses, which are impractical for 3-year-olds. Small juice boxes with straws would have been a much better option. On top of that, the staff didn’t allow us to place cookies on the table, which felt unnecessarily restrictive. We were also promised water for the kids, but only about 6 small bottles were distributed, which was far from sufficient. Music Selection: The music played during the party was not age-appropriate or what we had requested. For a children’s party, we expected fun and engaging kids’ songs, but that was not the case.
Overall: The venue has potential, but they need to significantly improve their safety, service, and organization. I hope they take this feedback seriously to create a better experience for...

Recently I called late Friday afternoon and asked specifically if there was a party scheduled for Saturday morning and was told no and to just come in at 10 am. I asked to make a reservation and was told no, not necessary. I called back after checking with my daughter and again was told to come in at 10. I asked to leave my name and was told no. The on line reservation service was not responding. The next morning when my daughter and granddaughter came from NYC we arrived at Madeleines at 10 only to be told there was a private party. The receptionist made a call and told someone that I had emailed twice - no I called twice- and they had tried to call me but there was no answer. I had called from my office and since they wouldn’t take a name or cell number they could not reach me. It seemed to me that later in the day- I called after 4 and they close at 5:30- they had a better offer. They neither apologized nor offered another time slot. I will never patronize Madeline’s again and neither will I recommend them to anyone. This is not how business works. Maggie, Glen...
