Rocco's — Restaurant in City of Glens Falls

Arriving at a restaurant in Glens Falls at 8:15 pm means it's the end if their day. Most places roll up at 9pm, I don't understand that. On this HOT June evening we opted to sit outside since it was cooler than inside. There was no ac. I felt like I was in Italy! The traffic noise was a bummer. Lots of muffler noise and motorcycles so atmosphere was not great. We ordered a small pizza and in time it arrived. Pizza was really good. No complaints. But at 8:45 the server started to take down the flags outside, right at our table and started to close up shop. We were still eating. She popped the check on our table at that time too. Didn't ask if we wanted espresso or dessert. She must have been told to move us out. We'll, we did. We didn't finish the pizza, took the rest home and they turned off the lights as soon as we got off our chairs. So, not hospitality here. But good pizza. It would be great if Rocco took a different storefront away from the heavy traffic and turn it into a really...

Here's our experience. Called at 530 to see if we needed a reservation at 630 for 3 people. Was told no, we're not that busy. Got there 645. 15 minutes later the (only) waitress handed us menus and took drink orders. 10 minutes later we got drinks and ordered food. For the next hour (yes, hour!) other parties came in, ordered and were served. I asked the waitress if we could at least have our salads while we waited. She told us they were all out of salads for the night. The people who came in after us all got salads, including some who had JUST sat down a few minutes earlier. Waitress said she thought our food would "probably be out soon". We waited another 10 minutes with still no food (almost no one in the restaurant by then), gave up and left, leaving money for the drinks. I see another of the reviewers had similar experience. Not sure how this place expects to keep in...

Heads UP ..I AM A SERVER!!! Unfortunately I spent $40 on a salad! Server was nice but obviously inexperienced ...... Wait time was way too long After we ordered 45 min later...the server finally came over to our table to tell me that they didn't have any meat for the carbonara! Wth took so long to tell me?? So I ordered a meatball with it.....OMG it was awful! I took maybe 2 bites and my friend had 1 bite and left restaurant.... When the server final came over I told her I would like my bill and did not want any of it wrapped up.......she then went and manually did our bill and charged us full price for the terrible food.....never said anything to owner(cook).....I'm sorry but will not ever go again and will not refer...
