The customer service is atrocious.

I’ll admit that the bagels from this place are phenomenal and that is why I still go.

It’s unfortunate.

The customer service is horrble. I came in to order a bacon egg and cheese and when I arrived home found that there was no bacon.

I called back for help. The older gentleman that is the owner that took my order got on the phone and said he could either send me bacon in a half hour or give me free bacon next time.

That is ridiculous because his solution was for me to either let the eggs and cheese got cold for a half hour and then eat my sandwich or eat the mistake sandwich which wasn’t what I wanted and then wait till the next time I go back, which is arrogantly assuming I’m definitely coming back, to get what I paid for.

I explained that to him and he said there’s nothing he can do and that’s the only options he can give me.

I told him I paid to eat a bacon egg and cheese this morning and I wanted to eat a bacon egg and cheese this morning, and I wanted to eat it hot, the way it’s supposed to be.

He agreed to deliver a sandwich and then demanded that I return his mistake sandwich so that he can throw it out because this jerk probably thinks I’m trying to steal a 4 dollar bacon egg and cheese because he’s too pompous and arrogant to admit that he forgot to put the bacon on my sandwich.

He tells me it will arrive in about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I call him and he says he hasn’t sent the order or yet because he’s waiting on a delivery driver. I told him it’s not fair he quoted me 30 minutes and I’m still waiting to get the sandwich I originally came in to order.

So I told him to hold my sandwich and I’d pick it up myself. Went back over there and gave the owner the mistake sandwich and he finally gave me the right sandwich. He didn’t thank me for walking over or offer me a feee coffee or apologize or anything he just handed me my order and took the mistake.

Is that an experience you want to have? Probably not.

Again they have the best bagels so I’ll probably be back even though I never want to interact with this individual again who seems to be a manager or higher up person.

But if you’re going for the bagels double check everything you get.

Plus this is the same guy that makes a sour face when i remind him to add a pickle and side salad with my lunch sandwich when the menu board says it comes with those. As if he’s angry that I’m getting what I paid for because he was hoping i wouldn’t notice he didn’t give me them.

I don't normally go to this bagel spot, but my husband insisted it had improved. When I gave my order to the older gentleman with the glasses, I asked if a clean cutting board and knife could be used to cut my son's bagel since he has a seed allergy. Before I could even finish, he became rude and snotty and said, "It's not my responsibility if something happens." I asked if the board and knife could be wiped down, but he continued to talk over me, rather than listen. We have four bagel places in town, and I frequent 3/4 - this is the one closest to my home, that I rarely go to. The other three bagel spots have absolutely NO PROBLEM using a clean board and knife. Much easier to flick a few seeds off a bagel, but not so easy when they're embedded in the cream cheese. His attitude was unprofessional, and when I mentioned what happened to my husband he knew EXACTLY who I was talking about. My co-workers and I frequent Max Bialystock. The staff is friendly and unlike some other places in town they accept call ahead orders (you can order online as well). The bagels are hand rolled daily and are in my opinion the best bagels in the area. Whenever I bring their bagels to work I am constantly being questioned on where they are from. What’s great about stopping at Max is that I can pick up my breakfast and order my lunch from them as they have a fabulous variety of wraps, salads, and sandwiches from healthy to hearty. Their portion size is perfect and a great value! Can’t wait to pick up a Cali wrap for breakfast tomorrow or maybe a Jammin’ Egg Sandy… can’t decide!
