I’ve been ordering from Yummy Yummy ( delivery) over 2yrs-A minimum of once per month, but usually between 1-3 times per week, as they HAD, by far, the best Chinese food in LB & neighboring towns. Since these meals were my dinner while working, why not support local business & enjoy something healthy. There were a couple of occasions where there was hair in my food, &/or minor mistakes, but being in the food service/hospitality industry over 25yrs, I understand these things happen. But NEVER ONCE, w/ the frequency & amount of $$$$ I’ve spent there, has anything been done to make me feel valued-Not even an apology. 3 nights ago I picked up dinner there, & keeping in common Yummy Yummy practice, found hair in my food🙄🤮, but last night, didn’t allow it to deter me, & went to order pickup before work again. The same young woman who has always serviced me came to take my order. I told her I was placing my order online. She ignored that, & was rushing me for my order, which I hadn’t even decided on yet. I ordered & told her about the hair in my food from the other night, which she completely ignored-No apology, nothing! She was extremely RUDE, & though my food was far from ready, demanded payment & basically grabbed the $20 out of my hand, & deposited it in a white 5 gallon bucket next to the door & walked away. She returned a moment later, demanding payment again ( & my food wasn’t even ready.). I told her she took my $ & put it in the bucket next to the door & hadn’t given me any change. She became very nasty & denied it. I said, “I can see it right there! You have surveillance cameras everywhere, I suggest you take a look.”. Which she did, further wasting my time & patience. She then took my $20 out of the bucket & gave me my due change w/ the nastiest look on her face. At that point I was completely done & insisted she give me my $20 back & keep the food! She insisted my food was ready & I take it, which I refused. After arguing w/ her, I told her I was going to call the police. She returned my $20 & told me to call the police. I now had less than 10mins to get to work & was too busy to call & file a complaint against her & the restaurant. In addition, I asked to speak w/ the manager & owner, which she wouldn’t honor the opportunity of. I will never be a patron of this establishment again, & will tell everyone I know to never eat there, which is the better part of the island of LB & beyond, as I’m a native. I would’ve given a rating of zero for this unbelievable experience alone, but it’s not possible, & the food quality is lesser than it was prior to their “Summer break” in June. I’m including a photo of the woman I dealt w/, & the bucket she threw my $ in when she attempted to straight up steal from me, as this is 💯 % TRUTH!!! I will contact the police tomorrow & the BBB. Being that I attended 1 of the best Universities in the country to study Culinary Arts & Foodservice & Hospitality, in addition to working in this career field over a quarter decade, I understand things happen, & am a ridiculously generous tipper. I NEVER do restaurant reviews, but this situation warranted it! I hope the owner fires this woman, even if she’s related to that person, which is something I never wish for anyone, but...
