Maybe I should have read the reviews first but am new to the neighborhood and was looking for a breakfast bagel place. Neighbors recommended this Sanmy's. So I arrived with high expectations and optimism to be quickly shocked with a lack of transparency on prices and my buttered bagel ended up costing $4.00!!!! NYC prices in the burbs? Let's break it down ...the price of the bagel was on the board $1.80. That seemed reasonable. Then asked for butter and a tad of extra. After all, they are never generous. Then the sticker shock....was expecting $2.50....maybe $3.00 with extra butter but $4.00? Well she said, it's $1.20 for the first butter swab and $1.00 thereafter. When the price of slivers of butter is more than the bagel, there's a problem. I felt violated and blamed myself for assuming reasonable prices. Besides, their bagels are SMALL on top of that. Buyer beware....guards up now. Off to search for a better place I can go to every day that won't rip me off. No customer service whatsoever. Lesson learned. Look for another place.....it can only go...
Read moreLove that they make the bagels fresh every single morning. I’ve been a customer here for a couple years now and I’ve never been disappointed with my orders. The ladies who work there make my day with how happy they look to see me and chat with me. Cash only definitely makes it less convenient, but they’ve got an ATM right there and it’s worth the minor trouble. Anyone who says the food is pricey has no clue what they’re talking about - average sandwich is like 7-8 dollars. That’s far cheaper than what you’d get in NYC which is like 20 minutes away, especially for the quality. I’ve only sat to eat a couple times, but it’s about what you’d expect from a small bagel place. It’s not the best for a proper sit down meal, but it feels cozy in there and I’ve struck up conversations with other customers a few times. All in all, this place is a must try, you’ll get addicted to those bagels, they must have some...
Read moreSloppy and always rushing! And oh they love to charge a different price for the same thing you always get. They have no respect when it comes to making their breakfast sandwiches - it’s always thrown together like somebody is trying to beat a buzzer on a video game or something. It’s actually disturbing that they really think they can serve people something that looks as if a five year old made it. I have given them way too many chances and they continue to disappoint- I am way done with this place. You’re better off just asking them for the ingredients and then put it together yourself. No more !the food is Good when they actually put effort into it- but the...
