Staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites, and very happy to have this option for dinner after a long drive into Rochester. We were pleased to see such a varied menu selection, though the prices were surprisingly high IMO. I had a fairly standard painkiller cocktail, but it hit the spot. We started with the sweet hawaiian rolls and charred pineapple butter - delicious. Our large plates came out just after we buttered our rolls, which was too bad in terms of timing. However, the food was all executed well! My daughter ordered the mac and cheese and she ate every last bit of it. The breadcrumbs for crunchy topping were a nice touch. I had the shrimp coconut curry noodles with veg and thoroughly enjoyed the dish. The tiger shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly, and the shiitake mushrooms were particularly good. When we first arrived, we were told it was open seating - but part of the dining area was closed off by glass doors. Many tables in the smaller open area were full, so we chose to sit at a table for two set off by itself which unfortunately was next to the kitchen door. Our mistake. We liked the vibe, though it began to get a little loud as the evening went on and larger groups came in. All in all, a very good dinner and super convenient.

Such a pleasant surprise here! Had some friends in town for the Rochester cocktail festival and I brought them here last minute for a quick dinner before they headed home. Food was SO good, bartenders/servers were amazing and the atmosphere was super cool. It felt like we were on vacation for a minute there! It’s a little on the more expensive side but we all felt it was worth it. Only thing that was kind of a bummer and the reason for 4 not 5 stars is that my friend put in a to-go order in for a lobster roll and they never brought it out and we forgot about it but still paid for it. Didn’t realize until we were home, obviously that’s on us too but our servers didn’t realize either. Hotel lobby restaurants are always hit or miss but this one is a hit. Can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I were staying at the Hampton (visiting from Ontario, Canada) and did not have a dinner reso for Friday night so we thought we would check out Lila's... WOW! We were blown away! I have Celiac Disease and the menu had SOO many gluten-free options it was amazing. We would have to say other than the food being absolutely phenomenal (especially having the peace of mind to eat it being GF) the service by Adam was top-tier, hands-down the best service we have ever had. Not only was he extremely helpful with the menu and just overall professionalism/friendly, but he also hand-wrote us a list of restaurants to visit while in Rochester, and provided great detail in the list. We would visit Rochester again just for Lila's food and Adam's service! Thank you again!

Went to check out their happy hour. There was a small happy hour menu, but the two drinks and two appetizers offered on it were both priced the same as all other cocktails and apps on the menu. In other words, the only happy hour priced item were the $1 oysters, and I'll say, those wellfleets were very good. However, they arrived more than half an hour after I ordered them and my cider was already long empty. I inquired after then twice. The second time, the bartender apologized and said: "I got you." I assumed this meant he would comp them or rush them out, or at least comp us a drink or something. When they finally arrived another ten minutes later, I was annoyed. No comped drink, no discount, no anything, just basically, 'here's your very tardy oysters'. No bro, you don't "got" us. Had to ask for the house fermented pepper sauce that they were supposed to come with, which was good but I shouldn't have had to ask for. Mignonette was too thick and not at all the right consistency. Wife's salad was lacking the roasted chick peas in it's description. Overall an expensive, lazy, and sloppy delivery. Three glasses of wine, a cider, a dozen oysters and a salad and the bill was $100+ with tip. If you want $1 oysters at happy hour, do it where the service is consistent and where there might be some comp if they mess up your order. Lento is a much better bet than an overpriced bar below a...

Really cool spot but I can't help but feel you're paying high end fine dining prices for not a lackluster experience. I stopped in to check the place out and listen to the live jazz and sat at the bar. The service was ok, not great. Ordered wine and had to bother the bartender for a food menu after 10-15 minutes of not being checked on or asked. I ordered the Hawaiian rolls which seemed like a cool choice but the rolls came out piping hot and the pineapple butter was frozen solid. I brought this up to the other bartender who didn't initially serve me but did ask how my food was and nothing was really done other than a "I'll let the chef know" and an explanation that it normally melts under the heat lamp. The weirdest thing that I can say is that there was an odd frantic pace to everyone that worked there. Everyone looked rushed and I had a few slightly rude moments where I felt like I was in the way just sitting there. For two glasses of wine and an appetizer the almost $60 tab was not worth it. I don't normally leave sub par reviews but it was definitely an odd experience to say the least in a town filled with excellent options. That being said it's a cool spot and the music was excellent. I'd go back for drinks and most likely...
