Taichi Bubble Tea, Ramen and Poke Bowl - East Ave — Restaurant in City of Rochester

Ordered two pokebowls from here and mine had a hair in it. Normally, i let things like that slide because im also a cook AND we’re human, i understand we have hair. & im okay with a replacement but im giving 1 star because of the service. So i contact uber, and they say i have to contact TaiChi in order to get help with it. So i call them and let them know, and the person that answered the call said they would write down my name & i can come in for a replacement. I come in the next day, and i talk to some asian guy, I didnt catch his name. I let him know the situation & he has an attitude and reluctantly makes my bowl. He looks up the order, and says “you know, you have to contact uber instead of us” And i said “i already did, but next time I’ll make sure i have a transcript of the chat.” And he goes: “there won’t be a next time.” Like.. excuse me? lol you have the audacity to put a hair in my food, i was fine with a replacement but you give me attitude & then tell me that there won’t be a next time for me to get a replacement for a mistake your store did? Get a grip. Also, definitely the worst milk tea I’ve had. Strawberry milk tea tastes like nesquik 2/10, and their milk tea is very watered down and flavorless 4/10 Pokebowls are a generous serving of rice & veggie, but very skimpy on the fish 6.5/10 Im from SoCal so maybe im just not used to mediocre boba, but KungFu tea has definitely been a 10/10 and i would recommend to go there instead. I like this place, and I wish I could give it more than 4 stars. The place is clean and the service is great. The staff are very accommodating, nice and helpful. The only issue is the food. Sushi burrito is very tasty and well made. I enjoyed it very much. All the drinks they prepare are very good and I enjoyed them as well (I tried 3 of them on 2 different occasions). Ramen: The portion is big, and it is enough to fill you up, but the taste is not the best, and the noodles had a weird taste to them. Rice bowl: I had it with tuna and salmon, but it had a bitter taste. Once I told the staff, they made me a new one. I wish it was better, but the bitter taste was still there.

All in all, I enjoyed my experience here...

Not bad if you’re starving, was expecting more flavors and mind blowing Asian cuisine.. but I will say I enjoyed the donuts and one of their milk tea boba drinks (coconut milk tea w/reg tapioca) I tried 7 other flavors they all made my stomach hurt. The service is iffy. Sometimes you get a snarky cashier, other times it feels like home! They do have a problem with teens making chaos, you can’t even eat peacefully some days at this location because the teens are around trolling and being loud doing inappropriate things in the bathroom as well.
