The Saratoga City Tavern — Restaurant in City of Saratoga Springs

Not a bad establishment. I would've given 3.5 stars but rounded up since I've never had a bad experience here.

The staff is great. They are all polite and respectful. Security does a very good job of keeping everyone safe and ejecting disruptive people. I've seen other establishments where security are on their phones and sitting at the bar. You won't see that here.

The drinks poured are consistently good. The music on the dance floor is good. Very upbeat and eclectic. They play mostly EDM, Hip-Hop, and some Reggaeton. In the Summer, they open up the rooftop which is nice because you can get some fresh air without having to go all the down to the ground floor.

However, this place is very difficult to navigate. The stairways get very congested, especially during special events like Halloween, New Year's, etc. It has improved a bit since the elevator was fixed but it's still an obstacle in navigating the 4 floors. The floor with the DJ is always a mob scene, so be ready to feel like you're in a mosh pit. Too many people, not enough to space, and the bathrooms on this floor are inadequate for the amount of traffic. I'm not agoraphobic, but this place will definitely trigger someone that is.

In short, this is a great place to dance and drink if you're okay with having absolutely no personal space. Agoraphobics and claustrophobics should...

We went to this yesterday.We were in Saratoga for the race. We decided to visit some bars. People recommended this bar. We were fascinated by the rooftop bar and wanted to go there. The bartender in the ground floor with blonde hair was good. We went to rooftop bar, there were two girl on the top. We asked them about parking, they were very rude. They definitely didn't seem like they were happy to be there. Very bad choice for the bartenders. We wanted to leave the place when we saw their attitude.Since I already came here we decided to have one drink. Two bartenders kept on staring at us and talking about us( talked to each other while staring at us , we assumed they were talking about us). One of the bartender came 15 minutes later after we had drink and card us. Funny thing is there were only two other costumer on the roof. They were not even busy.Then she was mad and ask us to leave. Very rude people and had too much attitude to be in costumer service. I would give 0 stars if I could.i would not recommend this place to anyone.Never go back...

I love this bar. There are four inside floors with legit stuff to do on each one depending on what you like. There is also a roof top floor for you that like to get a great view of downtown saratoga. If you live in the area become a mugger! It's a great way to get deals on your favorite beer and rewards for your loyality. The owners are amazing and the bartenders and waiters/waitresses are on point with great service. I have yet to have a bad day at this tavern and its great place to meet people. If you are just visiting the area become a mugger for the hell of it or just enjoy what great atmosphere this place has to offer. On top of that their food is amazing, especially the pizzas! They have events on the different floors depending on the day of the week. My personal favorite.... Bingo on the 1st floor every Monday! This is a great place to stop by and have a great time!
