Sooo, I was very excited to order a taste of their food. However, things went downhill for me before I left the restaurant. I asked a question about their lamb meat compared to goat meat. The chef, was very nonchalant and basically said that they are different(ya think)!.. The subject was then dismissed. They definitely need better customer service... Anyhu, I ordered a lamb gyro and left with their greasy bag... Now this was my experience things could be different for others. To be fair, I only eat chicken, turkey, or fish... I thought that it was safe to try the lamb. Unfortunately, within minutes of eating their lamb gyro, it sent me to the bathroom with the runs.... I’m not sure if they used the same knife to cut their other meats. I don’t recall seeing a different knife being used. If that was the case, then they need to seriously rethink that. Cross contamination, is NO joke... Would I recommend this place? At this point, NO. Is there room for...

We were so impressed with Salt City Market that we came back as we were passing through Syracuse again. There are so many wonderful options it’s hard to choose what to order.

We wanted to circle back to try Baghdad. The week before we were drooling over the chicken, beef and lamb shawarmas that were cooking.

We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon in time for an early dinner and were sad to hear that all the varieties were already sold out. Definitely a bit disappointing but understandable since they looked and smelled amazing. We ordered the beef kebabs which came with a plate of rice and some pickled veggies and a yogurt sauce. The food was cooked quickly and was very fresh. The meat was tender and utilized a wonderful assortment of spices. The veggies and yogurt sauce were nice complements and played off the seasoning. This was a very generous potion and fed 2 hungry people. The prices were very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend...

Mediterranean food is one of my favorite of all time & I went here with great excitement & expectations only to be extremely disappointed. The young lady at the order taker didn’t seem to be there. Back of the house didn’t seem to be organized as too many people were moving positions. My food was just put a side without calling it out by number. I had to inquire about it to receive it like a few other waiting customers. Upon arrival home, I realized my food was missing half of the portion. I ordered mixed shawarma but received only beef & some lambs, soggy fries, only one slice of tomato, half portion of the pita bread & some lettuce. It’s sad to say that I paid $13.49 for a bag full of...

We live about an hour outside Syracuse and try to visit this place when we drive into town. The chicken shawarma wrap is excellent and the garlic sauce they put on it cannot be beat. We also like the chicken shawarma plate. Sooo much food and delicious. They have many different variations of the sandwiches, so make sure you ask questions if you get confused. For instance you can get the shawarma “cold” basically the meat is cooked but the outside bread wrap is not. Or you can get the wrap heated up (like a panini) where the bread is grilled. Definition worth the visit. Only problem can be parking downtown.

Based on reviews my husband and I decided to give this place a try.. unfortunately he now has food poisoning on our mini trip here .. the food looked good but chicken Sai shawarma plate is what he got I think the chicken might have been old or something.. the fries were good but that's about it .. I got shish tawooq and it tasted sweet I think they put a lot of the sauce so it made it sweet also salad didn't have dressing had to ask for some and it wasn't good . We also tried the hummus and it just had a weird after taste . Overall wouldn't recommend eating here.
