Ellerae’s Tacos — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

I don’t normally go out of my way to leave a review for a restaurant, but I had to for this one. To start the people are super inviting, friendly and personable, I ordered two beef birria tacos with salsa verde. The salsa was very good and added a really nice flavor to the tacos. The tacos themselves were so good I went back to order more, the meat was insanely tender and well seasoned, they give a very generous portion, there was enough meat to where when I bit into it, meat came out the other end. The “consumè” was very good, but my only complaint about it would be it’s pretty thin and is more of just a meat juice than a traditional consumè, but again still very good and added so much flavor to the taco. I have had other birria places, but for the price and portions you get I definitely think it is better than other places around. If you have a chance I would definitely recommend...

First off, I downloaded this specially to leave a review. This is hands down the best meal, along with the most hospitable service I have had in years. As a former bartender, server, food sales and overall hospitality industry employee for over two decades, I felt the need to share how amazing my food and experience was. I literally cannot articulate how delicious every single thing I had is! The tacos, corn and all the accoutrements was outstanding. There is no point to seek out the best Mexican food place in the cuse any longer! The only mistake is that I’m writing this review instead of finishing my meal, but with the hospitality and deliciousness of the food, I was compelled. I recently visited this place. I stood in front patiently for 15 mins. And everyone ignored me. I was going to get a meal but then from the customer service reduced that to 2 agua frescas. I was waiting then began to say excuse me to the cashier and other woman. I didn’t to be rude but they kept about doing what they were doing. They even started to fix the hot sauces. It took the cook to acknowledge if I wanted to order. He even cashed me out. The woman handed me my drink (Which was less flavorful than when I visit the year prior.), I said by have a nice day….she said nothing and looked at her phone.
