Birria Quesatacos SYR — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

Don't let the prices fool you...you get a LOT of food here. I bought two chicken birria tacos and the birria beef fries. One taco would have likely filled me up, and I can throw down some food. The tacos were so perfectly cheesy and fried, seasoned so well. The fries were a let down only in the type of fries (think steak cut fries). I'd love for them to explore another fry type. I will say this. I ate them all over the course of two days.

The 5 pack of tacos would likely feed 2-3 people. The fries are meant to be shared. Even though I prefer a different fry type, it was worth every penny.

I’m still sitting in the restaurant, but I had to make sure I made a review. This was HANDS DOWN the best birria anything that I’ve eaten. The birria from other places either taste, artificial or are watery and unflavored. This was thick with the just the right amount of spice and heft to it that shows that it’s not only “homemade” but made with love and authenticity. I saw another reviewer complain of the price, but the value and quantity matches the price. My shrimp quesadilla was $22 (chocked FULL of seasoned grilled shrimp) and my husband’s tacos (2 mixed, 2 beef and 1 chicken) was also $22. We were both stuffed. The thicker Hispanic woman with the braided long ponytail is aggressively rude and dismissive to people that appear Brown, Latino or African descent. Which is odd since she herself is brown. If Europeans are in the store she is nice to them and makes conversation and smiles and says hello and will ask them how are you. If you're Brown you'll get a mean and dismissive, with her face very stern, what do you need as your greeting. We are all paying the same money so not sure what the mistreatment is about. I'll fly to Mexico next time I want good tacos AND to see everyone get appreciative service with a side of respect and dignity. Stop with the favoritism that still won't let you into...
