Let me ask you something. Are you tired of mid quality and mid flavored coffee? Do you have an incredibly simple and common name yet somehow it can just never get spelled correctly on a cup? Well, here's introducing Cafe Kubal, the only coffee house (yes house, not shop, shops are for rundown strip malls and tech ed class) where you can live vicariously through the lives of these upbeat, kind, and coffee connoisseurs...in case you hate yours! The coffee? Divine. The tea? Heavenly. The coffee AND tea concoctions with lavender or some other fancy flower that you didn't know was a flavor? Hallelujah.

Let's say you want crystal clear freshwater that comes out hot, but magically is the perfect temperature once it mixes with ice, or maybe you want a nice crisp medley of fruits, honey, and mint to come together for a magical dance party on your taste buds. You know what other coffee shops are gonna do? Nothing. They couldn't make a London Fog if you have 'em a bucket and some dry ice. At Kubal, they'll brew that London Fog with passion, efficiency, and flawless execution. Congratulations. Your only regret? That you didn't buy another.

I am SO OVER this company! After closing Auburn and Eastwood both, they randomly decide to shut down Sweetheart Corner too, in the middle of a work week, with literally no notice. Because we now had no location nearby (Sweetheart and Eastwood being our usual go to's), we drove out on our day off to the Water Street location just to enjoy a coffee at our has-been favorite cafe. We arrived at 12:35, only to find it closed early for the day, with no sign or anything even explaining why! It was supposedly open until 1:00, even said so on the hours listed on the door. I'm so done with the lack of staffing, the random employees who know what they're actually doing getting fired, the closings without notice, and more. Love the coffee and food here. I used to go here all the time for a quick coffee break during work, and have returned here and there since then after moving on. The coffee is some of my favorite drip coffee that I've had, and I'm a sucker for their black bean hummus wrap. They could overall use one or two more vegan/vegetarian options on their menu, but I'm assuming they're just suiting whatever demographic comes and know better than I do.
