Finally, we made it here after numerous "we should go there somtime" comments. The only disappointment was that we waited so long to go here. We both love Mexican, and it was the very best we've had in the area. Iannelis, our server, was phenomenal, friendly, and very attentive but leaving us space while we devoured our meals. The entire staff was very friendly and on top of refilling water, getting more chips (un-requested but very welcomed) and bussing our table when done. On a semi busy Friday night but without a wait, they asked our preference of table or booth and allowed us choice of booth. Very friendly host staff as well. The food came out quickly, delicious and well presented. I got the enchiladas supreme and some places it comes out as slop, this looked and was amazing. My fiancé got Arroz con Pollo, and couldn't stop saying how fresh the peppers and everything else tasted and how much flavor it had. Kids meals are also very reasonably priced, which is nice not to pay $13 for a small portion which will be half munched on. The Green Cilantro Margarita pitcher for 2 of us was perfect and provided 3 full pours each. It also had great flavor and taste. Also plenty of free street parking options if it's after 6 or on weekends. It's located just far, but plenty close, enough to the rest of the downtown restaurants that people don't park near it. With a Margarita pitcher, 2 full entrees and a Kids meal, our bill was only $69

This is a nice restaurant inside with good decor. Why does anyone want to scan a code on their table placemat to see a menu on their phone? The last thing we want to use while dining out is our phones. We had to ask for menus. We want a menu in our hands to place orders. This is ridiculous... if a restaurant stops giving out menus... we will stop going to that restaurant. This is directly related to good customer service. We should not have to ask for menus. The food was good. Margarita's took a long time to come out from the bar. We could see the bartender... it appeared he had trouble making them. The place was not busy at the time. We were there on a Sunday at 11:30 am. We had Margherita's here before, but they were not as good this time... they were too watery and did not have enough ice in them. They are using cheap plastic "glasses" for Margarita's. That's not what we expect from a sit-down restaurant. It made it feel like a low class place. I recommend the restaurant for food, but the plastic cups for the drinks are really tacky... especially for the price Margherita's cost here. We will avoid ordering Margarita's in the future unless they change to real glasses. Some outdoor dining tables were set up, too.

Visited here as they were one of the few places in the area where I could find tortas since moving from down south and left completely unimpressed by their tortas as a whole. Especially by the bread which is normally a standout when ordering these in the past from other restaurants. About the only positives I have is the place is clean and the tortilla chips and salsa were solid. Aside from the subpar sandwich, it’d be nice if they also lowered the music inside. It makes it hard to hear the people at my table directly across from me and it seems the staff was unable to clearly hear either. As the menu wasn’t clear if the tortas came with a side we asked. The server said he wasn’t sure but would check and get back to us. We let him know that if it was just the sandwich and there was no side, we would like to get some sides to accompany the meal. He acknowledged and left. Some time later he came back and we were delivered the side orders. About 5-10 minutes after that, the meal came out and also had fries, which completely disregarding our ask and due to the price of the sides increase our bill by about 30% unnecessarily and leading to wasted food as it was as way more than we needed or wanted.

I hate leaving a review like this bc the food itself was actually EXCELLENT. if you just need to verify the food is good then yes the food is GREAT! My problem was (as a first-time customer ordering) was the service I received between the phone call placing the order and picking it up. There was a lot of confusion placing the order bc i asked for a cup of hot sauce on the side and was told it was 4 dollars where I got super confused before the phone was passed to a different employee who explained they have a homemade hot sauce that costs 4 dollars (which i do find impressive and will be trying the next time i go) but I explained i just meant a generic hot sauce like red hot (which i have never been to a restaurant anywhere in NY that didnt have red hot , mexican restaurants included but im not biased to hot sauce like ill take any hot sauce you got) where she stated with a great deal of attitude that 'this is a mexican restaurant we do not carry red hot we have mexican hot sauces you can add the hot sauce to your food when you get here" which.... okay is guess. I reiterated to the new person i was talking to that i wanted my tortilla fried and NO lettuce which she confirmed. I waited 10/15 minutes and showed up for my food where i was met with confusion from the young woman at the register and explained i called my order in. She consults with two of the other women working and then prints the receipt to give to the kitchen so they didnt even start my order until i arrived from the very little Spanish I can understand from school. I was on a limited break time which is why i called ahead so this was frustrating. I asked for a sauce cup and filled my own cup with hot sauce since this isnt a service that they provide which nowadays no big deal, choose your battles. I was too late and flustered to properly examine my food once i got it and it wasnt until i got back to desk to eat that i realized that there was indeed lettuce, and my tortilla was not fried (or if it was, it wasnt friend anywhere near enough bc it was still very soft.) all that being said, the food itself was still very very good and i ate everything except the parts with lettuce and i can only imagine how good it would have been with tortilla fried. I would have chalked it up to them being busy but when i went inside i saw that employees were standing around on their phones and drinking from the soda machine and talking to each other and only 2 tables were occupied so this wasn't oversight as much as it was laziness/attitude from whoever took my order and whoever communicated it to the kitchen bc the quality and flavors of the food was excellent but the service i was provided to get it was subpar. which again bothers me only because the food itself was AMAZING and I will be back i just really hope they get my order...

This is by far one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. This isn’t my 1st visit here. The reason why this visit is getting 1 star is because seems like they hired new staff and none of the speak English. When they brought the water and chips they didn’t say hello or even make eye contact even after I said hi several times. After waiting 20 mins and not having anyone come get our drink orders, I had to continuously try to call or flag down a waiter and they either ignored me or didn’t understand English I’m assuming. I finally got someone who stop at our table and asked if the manager was in. She said no. That explains why it was ran so badly. Every time I dine there it was ran smooth and food was delicious and service was fast and the manger would be there. Idk if they were not able to manager without him, but they definitely need some people who speaks or understand a little English. I had to ask who was our waiter. She finally came, her name was Jade(I had to ask her name) she didn’t introduce herself. Finally took our orders after 30 mins. At this point I wasn’t even hungry any more and just annoyed. We all ordered the birria tacos and they were bland no taste at all. Jade did keep apologizing for the long wait but she seemed extremely overwhelmed. She never asked how the food was, if we needed anything, or even checked in. I had to flag her down for the bill after waiting a long time. I’m hoping this was just an off day because I would hate to not return again. Manager is really nice and when he’s there it runs smooth. Hoping he can train them on better customer service skills and atleast smile when coming to the table if they don’t speak English. Even the atmosphere was off, no music playing and just felt totally ignored by all the waiters when trying to get their attention. This was yesterday 7/3 on my birthday which totally ruined my mood after this happened. Didn’t have a good experience this time. Was very...

Went to dinner here for the first time with my wife for her birthday. Parking was easy to find and the restaurant was not busy at all. I got the Pollo Asado and my wife got the Carnitas tacos on corn tortillas since she has a gluten sensitivity. Food came out surprisingly fast. I had to flag our waitress down for the tortillas that came with my meal. When I asked about if they came with my meal she made it seem like they didn’t come with it and she was doing me a favor by getting me some that weren’t included. Then when I pointed out they were included on the menu she made it seem like she knew they came with them the whole time. Very confusing. My food was pretty good. When my wife’s food came out the tortillas looked like flour. I again had to flag our waitress down and ask if they were corn or not. She said that they came with flour, my wife explained that she asked for corn when ordering and that she can’t have the flour due to her gluten sensitivity. The waitress didn’t apologize or acknowledge the mistake, they simply said “okkk” while walking away with her plate. A few minutes later another waitress came over with my wife’s food. My wife’s food was okay, meat was dry. She really enjoyed the chips, beans, and rice though. Our waitress didn’t return to ask about our food until it was pretty much all gone. Overall if we had a different waitress our experience would have been much better. No one should feel like an inconvenience on their birthday, especially if it’s because of their dietary...
