Learn moreThe service was amazing. They sat us quickly and our waitress checked up on us every so often. I loved the environment because it gives you the biker bar feeling, but is still a great place to take the family. We saw many families eating there during our visit, reaffirming parents felt the same I did. The food was unbelievably good. I have had my fair share of bbq and this stood out. We got a combo plate with the St. Louis Ribs, pulled pork, and prime brisket. Everything was very tender and seasoned amazingly. They also have extra bbq sauce at the table if you are like me and love adding more. Personally I loved all of the meats, although remeber the ribs have cartilage before devouring it, like my boyfriend who is was unpleasantly surprised. For our sides, we got the baked beans and mac & cheese, as well as an order of fries after seeing them at another table. The plate also came with cornbread, which is nice that we didn't have to pick that as a side and order extra to try other things. The sides were not a sideshow to the meat. The baked beans had a very different taste than I have ever had. I'm used to baked beans being very sweet, but these were smoky and had an interesting bite to them. I believe they had cut up jalepeño or some other peppers in them, which was unique to others I had. I believe they also had some pieces of meat as well. The mac and cheese also had very distinct flavors that I have never had. It could have possibly been mustard, as I know people use it in some recipes. It was absolutely amazing and I kept eating it trying to determine what was in it that kept making me want more. The cornbread was classic, not dry, perfectly simple. I also want to note that the portions of everything was amazing. I shared the combo plate with my boyfriend, but if you have a third person I think it is enough to fill everyone. I was surprised to see the sides were a shareable portion, rather than a small cup like I have had other places. The fries were a last minute order, as the table next to us said they were better than five guys, so I knew we had to try them. I am not one to eat a lot of fries, trying to watch my health, but I could not stop eating them. They were crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside and seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of bbq and trying something new. I anticipate trying the one in the city, as I'm curious if it retains the qualities of the one...
Read moreWe hosted our rehearsal dinner at Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, NY. When we started our dinner, it was like any other rehearsal dinner. We had some speeches, gifts, and an amazing BBQ dinner. However, the night took a turn and became an all-out karaoke dance party! It was the rehearsal dinner to end all rehearsal dinners and it was all thanks to the amazing space and staff at Dinosaur!
We started with appetizers that were to die for, I wish I could have just pulled up a chair to the serving table. The fried green tomatoes are unlike anything I’ve ever had, to die for! We also had chicken wings that our guests raved about. Next, we served a variety of meats and sides. It was delicious as Dinosaur always is! To top off the meal, we had some of Dinosaur’s famous pies, SO GOOD!
We also had an open bar for part of the night and the bartender was great! She made drinks quickly and kept the line moving. Our guests had a blast!
We had a cigar bar out on the balcony where we could also hear the live music that was being played below. The balcony made for such a cool hang out (and really great pictures). They had tables and chairs outside for our guests to sit back and relax.
The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. They checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and helped to hook up the microphone for speeches and singing. At the end of the night, they packed up our leftovers and sent them home with us, our bridal party was thankful for a late-night snack at the hotel.
Jamie was easy to work with to get everything booked, finalize the menu and to help set-up the venue.
I highly recommend hosting your event at Dinosaur, you will always get their best!

Read moreArrived at about 2:30pm. Not, by any means a peak time. Took us about half an hour to find someplace to park, followed by a 20 minute wait to be seated, despite many empty tables. I guess the shortage of workers is hitting everywhere. If you like dark and dingy atmosphere to dine it, this is the place. Very disappointed in the food. After hearing people rave about the barbeque, I had high expectations. They were not lived up to. I ordered a combo dinner of BBQ pork and St. Louis Ribs. When it arrived, I noticed that the pork looked a little funny and part of it was green. I tried it, but spit it out. It tasted really bad, almost like it was spoiled. I guess the green on it was the reason. The ribs were very small and 90% fat. So basically I ate $30 to eat cornbread, soggy fresh cut fries and some spicy mac & cheese for dinner. The waitress did stop by and asked if everything was all right, so I told her. She claimed that the food was good, I just not like BBQ. I was offended by her comment, as I really enjoy good BBQ, which this was not. But let it pass. When she cleared the table, she saw that I hadn't eaten the meats, commenting that it was a shame to waste all this food. I agreed with her, saying I would rather throw it away rather than eat it and get sick because of it. I expected to have the food taken off the bill or at least discounted. Neither was the case. When I signed the bill, I left them a note "Thanks for helping with the bill, NOT" and left her a minimal tip. I won't be back here again and will not recommend it to...
