Five stars? Nope — this place deserves a whole constellation. Welcome to Poundtown, baby. Buckle up.
From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The vibe? Immaculate. The customer service? So friendly I started wondering if they were trying to adopt me. Seriously, everyone here deserves a gold star, a raise, and probably a reality show.
And the food? Let me tell you something… these burgers aren’t just big — they’re emotionally supportive. I took one bite and suddenly understood why it’s called Poundtown. Juicy doesn’t even cover it — this thing was practically writing me love poems in burger grease.
The buns? Soft just like I’m sure you’d like your buns (pun intended). The veggies? So fresh I think they were still photosynthesizing. And the fries? Golden, greasy perfection — like they were hand-cut by angels who work part-time at a state fair.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE. (Cue the infomercial voice.)
The mac and cheese? It’s the kind of dish that makes you re-evaluate your life decisions. Creamy, cheesy, and absolutely stacked with crispy, tender chicken that could probably solve most of your problems. Top it all off with their pub sauce — which I’m 90% sure is made from unicorn tears and dreams — and you’ve got a meal that slaps harder than your grandma’s slipper.
You’ll drool. You’ll beg for more. You might even text your ex just to tell them what they’re missing (which is this mac and cheese, not you).
Bottom line: if you haven’t been to Poundtown in Syracuse, then have you TRULY been to poundtown? — you’re just chewing in black and white. I’d eat here every day if my cardiologist would stop calling me about it.
Truly guys, it’s worth it....
Read moreI have tried this place twice now, with the first visit consisting of me trying their tenders. The $18 for a 6 piece tenders and fries is outrageous. They are no where as good as Tully's, the Deli on Valley, or even Chick-Fil-A. They were good at best, but not great and not worth $18. I then went back again recently, reluctantly, with a group of friends who wanted to try their burgers. Again, the price point is outrageous. I don't mind paying premium pricing for high quality and delicious food. But again, their burgers were not worth not that good. I can get a better quality burger for much less. If you want to pay that much and get an actual great tasting burger, try Over the Cuse Deli, Ale n Angus, or even Five Guys. This place is not that good. The bun was drenched in butter, as if that is going to mask the taste of the rest of it. Makes me wonder how much of these reviews are actual reviews? Or is the owner giving customers free food for good reviews? Their response to my review is that I didn't eat there, rather than address the actual concerns I mentioned. This place is over priced. Period. And is not as good as the places I mentioned above, including also Double Cheese and...
Read moreStopped in tonight after a not-so-successful trip to the Taste of Syracuse to grab some take-out to bring home and enjoy. We walked in, and decided on one of each Mac and cheese bowl (cheeseburger or chicken tenders). While we were waiting we were offered a free loaded fries that was made by mistake and advised to try it in one of the staffs “house secret” sauces that tasted much like sassy sauce but was PHENOMENAL with the fries, we got chills when we tried it ! The owner or manager (I’m only assuming here) also gave us a sneak peak sample of an upcoming new menu item (Also so good) ! BUT now for the star of the show! We received our entrees fresh in about 10 minutes. They looked incredible and immediately we decided we had to try a bite, and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint!! All of the food here was SO good and so fresh, the staff was amazing, and even better the place was sparkling clean even with the chaos of a festival right outside their doors! We will definitely be making this place a...
