Chan's Wok Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Tonawanda

The food and service are excellent. A great Chinese food restaurant can be hard to come by in WNY these days, this is definitely one of them.

This was my 3rd visit to Chan's Wok, and it was just as great as my prior two experiences. I ordered General Tso's Chicken, Beef Lo-Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Crab Rangoon's. The Crab Ragoon's were nice and perfectly golden, yummy from the inside out. The Lo-Mein had plenty of beef strips throughout. All the food was absolutely perfect, no complaints. What's even better was the price. I paid $44 for everything, not expensive, as I was expecting. Good food normally can be expensive in WNY. Ripped off. Good Food. I called and ordered 2 orders of chicken and broccoli. Lady asks me white rice or fried? I say fried. I go to check out and the kid at the register gives me a total, then says oh wait I forgot to charge you for fried rice. No one mentioned that fried rice was extra but I'm like ok no problem. Charges me 5 dollars more for 2 orders of fried rice. I look in the bag and there's only 1 small pint of it. So I asked the cashier "shouldn't there be 2 pints for 2 orders"? He says oh we just combined them into 1. Just to clarify these are the pint sizes not the quarts. I just shook my head and said whatever and left. Long story short they charged me extra and gave me less food....

I have eaten a lot of Chinese food in my life, and most of the time, it's pretty good! But THIS PLACE???? I will never be able to order from anywhere else ever again. It is THAT good. I downed the general tsos so fast my partner was afraid for my health. The lo mein was absolute perfection in both flavor and noodle consistency. The donuts? The fact that 5 of them is less than $5 makes me feel like a criminal because they are absolutely the best I've ever had. They could raise their prices to $100/noodle or donut or piece of chicken and I'd go absolutely broke still trying to eat here. It's worth it.
