My recent visit to Olive Garden's bar left me deeply disappointed and frustrated with the overall service and treatment my pregnant wife and I received. Despite opting for the bar seating in hopes of faster service, we were completely ignored for the first ten minutes, setting the tone for an unpleasant dining experience.
Upon arrival, we specifically chose the bar seating with the expectation that we would receive prompt attention. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We were left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time without any acknowledgement from the staff. It felt as though we were invisible, and our presence was inconsequential to the employee assigned to our section.
When we finally managed to grab the attention of an employee, the interaction was marked by an apparent lack of interest and willingness to assist us. Every time we made a request or asked for something, it seemed as if we were an inconvenience to her. This attitude greatly impacted the overall ambiance and customer experience.
Adding to our dissatisfaction, after our initial round of drinks, our glasses were left empty, and no effort was made to refill them. It's disheartening to sit with parched throats and be neglected while eagerly observing the attentive service provided to other patrons nearby. Moreover, when the breadsticks were served, we were never given plates to eat on, forcing us to resort to eating off napkins. This lack of basic amenities further demonstrated the lackluster approach to customer satisfaction.
As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and attention to detail, which regrettably were lacking during our visit to Olive Garden's bar. The disregard for our needs and the dismissive attitude displayed by the staff left a sour taste in our mouths.
Olive Garden's reputation has always centered around providing a warm and welcoming dining experience. However, based on our recent encounter, I cannot recommend this particular location. The apathetic service, neglectful behavior, and failure to fulfill basic requests, such as drink refills and providing plates, showcased a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, my wife and I left Olive Garden's bar feeling deeply dissatisfied and disheartened. The lack of attention, dismissive attitude, and absence of basic amenities were all contributing factors to our negative experience. It is my hope that Olive Garden management addresses these issues promptly to prevent future customers from enduring such...
Read moreI guess I should preface this by saying Olive Garden is widely known as a subpar restaurant. So I wasn’t expecting much from the staff, but this was an exceptionally bad experience.
When we arrived (party of 3 w/ 1 kid = 4 total) we were met with eye rolls and a huffs because the hostess had to do her job. She gave us a much longer wait time than what was actually necessary in an attempt to make us leave (20 min - empty restaurant). As we were waiting, another party of 2 were immediately sat at a 6 person table… After our waitress was finished loudly talking to the hostess about her pregnancy, we were then seated.
We saw our waitress maybe 3 times throughout the whole course of the meal. She brought salad, took our orders, then gave us our food. That was it. For whatever reason it took 10 minutes to get drinks (all iced tea) and no matter how kind we were to her, she was just miserable to deal with. She never refilled our drinks or came back to ask for boxes. I had to go to the hostess stand to ask for boxes, where the hostess and bus boy were just hanging out. Of course I was met with attitude for interrupting their very important conversation of “Where are we going to dinner when we get off?”
When I asked if our waitress was even still working the hostess scoffed and asked “Which one?” Since our waitress never gave us her name I told them it was the pregnant one to which the hostess’ boyfriend started laughing and said to me “That’s so messed up. What if she wasn’t pregnant?” Well, then I guess she was lying to the hostess the entire time she made us wait while, again, talking loudly about her pregnancy. Once I mentioned that I heard the whole conversation, they both seemed to shut up. I got the to-go items and was again scoffed at for inquiring about the service and stating a fact. We paid on the tablet at the table and left.
I’m assuming there wasn’t a manager on duty as the place seemed to be ran by high schoolers. If there was a manager on duty, then they should be ashamed to have such dismal staff. What a bad experience to add to the already bad reputation...
Read moreThis review is for the bartender working 12/7 only! Bartender was MIA from the bar for at least 10 minutes, went to go get a host to get her cuz huh? We’re at a bar, like where is the bartender? Like ok, maybe she’s busy, or eating or in the bathroom, I get it whatever. But then she comes over and is like “what are we having tonight” and I’m like “do you have the never ending pasta” she’s like “no” so I’m like oh ok we need a minute, she’s like drinks? I’m like “I‘m not sure yet” all the while I feel rushed now after an extensive wait even to be “greeted” well there was no greeting, bartender had stank face the whole time, I asked for my drink when she finally reappeared from the back after another 10-15 minutes. Instead of getting my drink I was ignored while she attended to other guest. Not just we were ignored though, the Spanish customers and African American customers next to us were also not served for an extended period of time. So at this point I decide to talk to the manager as I still don’t have a drink, we did receive a lack luster salad, cold soup and three stale breadsticks though. Her bar was FILTHY the whole time mind you only one other guest was sitting at the bar when we arrived.
The African American female manager was very kind and respectful when taking my complaint. I offered to pay for my soups and salads and she told me no, after my bad experience I did not have to pay, I told her I wanted to but she would not allow me. She’s a star tbh.
We were leaving and the bartender was like, “you’re leaving?” Almost accusatory like we’re not paying, and I’m like I already talked to your manager. As I left I gave my drink to the Spanish man next to me which had arrived while I was lodging my complaint and told him it’s on me as he still hadn’t been served(our entrees and our drinks still hadn’t arrived), like I’m not about to take anything after this terrible service. Like this location needs to get it together and actually hire people who care about service and their guest because this girl absolutely did not and if she doesn’t want to be...
