My experience at Kay Jewelers in March of 2019 was nothing short of heartwarming. I walked into the store, carrying the dream of finding the perfect engagement ring for the woman who would soon become my wife. It was there that I was fortunate enough to meet Peter, a representative who would play a crucial role in making my vision come to life. As I settled on a ring that captured my heart, Peter shared the wonderful news of an upcoming 30% Mother’s Day sale, which sparked a beacon of hope for making it more affordable.
With a newfound determination, I dedicated myself from March until May, saving every penny I could, keeping the upcoming discount and tax considerations closely in my calculations. Finally, the day arrived when I returned to the store, ready to make the purchase that symbolized my love and commitment. Yet, when we tallied the total cost, including tax and full coverage, the numbers soared higher than expected. With my heart sinking, I realized I was just short of the required amount, despite my meticulous planning.
The timing couldn't have been tighter, as it was the final day to take advantage of the 30% discount—an opportunity I couldn't bear to miss, not when it meant so much to both my fiancée and me. Observing my distress, Peter discretely stepped aside, only to return with Charisse, the manager, who listened with empathy. With kindness and grace, she performed what I can only describe as magic, generously adjusting the price, bringing me tantalizingly close to my goal. Yet, I found myself agonizingly $.32 short.
In that moment, Peter did something extraordinary. Reaching into his pocket, he offered the $.32 needed to bridge the gap. I was overwhelmed with gratitude, feeling an immense sense of blessing for their generosity and support. Thanks to Peter and Charisse's incredible kindness, I was able to give my wife the ring she so richly deserved—a symbol of our love that she wears to this day.
Looking back, I am profoundly thankful for this experience, which was imbued with such warmth and compassion by the staff at Kay Jewelers. It was a vivid reminder of the goodness that resides in people's hearts, and I am forever grateful to have been a witness to that. This encounter wasn't just about purchasing a ring; it was a journey that reaffirmed my faith in humanity and the power of kindness, guided by the caring spirits of Peter...
Read moreThis has been one of the most unprofessional & frustrating experiences ive ever had in customer service. All this took place over 2 weeks. 11/26 purchased a wedding band through sales associate Kyoko, all went well up until December 9th, have not heard a word about the band, no email confirmation, no email with the order number.. just a receipt- Called on December 7th at 11am and spoke with her, she said store was busy and she would call me back later, no problem- until i never received any call back. Called December 9th with a male sales associate and assured me he would try to locate the band with his Assistant Manager & he would for sure give me a call back before 5pm.. 5:30 rolls around and no word.. I called and a manager spoke to me and basically admitted the original sales associate i dealt with never placed the order. This is where we get frustrated because between my husband and I we’ve spent well over $1300 on jewelry here, which we expect good customer service for. This manager stated that the ring he was going to order was a 7 (not the size we agreed upon) and I would get the ring and need to take it to get resized.. Long story short we ended up receiving a call on 12/11 stating the ring and band were ready for pickup & that she attempted to call me 2 times that day which is not true whatsoever.. after them giving us the run around that the order was never placed and they couldn’t locate it.. Never waste your time in person at this location, you’re better off finding another reliable...
Read moreFor the record, I am posting this review to correct a survey I completed by email from the company on my experience with both in store and the Design & Service Center. First and foremost, my experience at this kay jeweler in cross county mall was exceptional, from when I first made the purchase, to receiving the item and having it sent back out for a second time. Each visit the staff helped me out as best and efficient as possible, getting me/ making my experience worth it. On another note, my experience with the Design & Service Center, was not great at all and as matter of fact, horrible. I purchased an item that needed to be sized, and the work done to it was just horrible. Looking at the item, you can see how poorly the job was done, due the uneven/ misshaped/ circumference of the ring. You think a craftsman who specializes in sizing/ fixing things would pay better details to something as valuable as the type of item being purchased, but that was not the case. So I post this to say my experience in store was great, but as to the Design & Service Center, not really a fan, as their work...
