Well, after reading all the reviews that I should have read before going to the store I will have to add another disappointing experience review. Went to this store for wedding bands, found one the misses liked and purchased the ring which needed to be resized. While trying to purchase it we asked if Zales has a financial plan with not interest for a certain time and are told yes they do offer it, so I apply I am told I am denied and we try with my fiance and we are told she is approved, So we are thinking approved through Zales, as we start to move on and find out she was approved through Gem not Zales and there would be interest charges. Surprise, so we tell them that is not what we want to do and then use another option. The whole time I was telling the associate we don't want a bunch of hits on my credit. Had we been told about Gem having interest charges to begin with we would have not tried that option. We Purchase the ring with another option and it gets sent for sizing. We get a call somewhere around a week to 10 days later that the ring is ready for pick up. We get there and a different associate starts to assist us since our original was busy. Surprise number 2 comes up, we are told we owe 75 dollars, I said ring was paid for , she says there is a fee for the sizing the ring which we were never told. Seems ridiculous that there would be a sizing fee on a large purchase item as I would imagine most people would need a sizing. She says here is the ring size and sized to 6.5, that immediately raises a red flag with my Fiancée. She knows she is not that size, tries it on and is way too big. So now the original associate comes over and says that she made a mistake and does not know why she ordered 6.5. So, off to resizing again and we are told they will put a rush on it. This was on a Sunday, so my Fiancée calls later that week and is told it is still not back yet. She is told they will check on it and get back to her, no return call. Now It is Saturday and I decide to call and they say it is back and ready for pick up. So why was I not called when it arrived back to the store and I needed to call to find out. So I will be going today to pick it up, wish me luck!!!!! Shortly after our original visit to the store I get a notification by mail to call Comenity and that they needed to verify information to approve my credit request. This is who Zales must use. So I call and explain to them why was I denied then and how come I could not have called with info they are now requesting the day I was at the store and told I was denied, he says we could have. Sooooo, was I really denied ???Did the sales associate not tell me I need to call Comenity??? Is it their practice so they make more money getting you approved with Gem???? Any other issues I will add to this review. BTW, I happened to be telling my co-workers when we first went there that I purchased a ring there and one of my Co-workers said I just bought a ring there also and asked If I had any issues because he did. I guess it is a normal occurrence at this store. Store really needs to get...
Read moreThe worst customer service experience ever.
I called ahead to upgrade my ring and spoke to Racquel, I asked her to pull up my info in the system to just make sure everything is okay, she said fine. Then she said she will pick out a few rings for me to look at.
When I got there, I was thinking she had a few peices picked out so I waited about 20 minutes for her to finish up with another customer, a few other employees asked if I needed help and I said no thinking this Racquel lady had some rings picked out. 20 mins later she comes over, I asked if she had a chance to pic out some rings similar to mine, she said "No you're going to do that" with an attitude. As if she didn't tell me this over the phone. It wasnt a problem but why would she say that and say something else in stores? I said okay and went on to look at some rings.
I chose a few rings and tried them on, I wasn't too happy with it so I said it's not what's I'm looking for, this lady kept giving me an attitude saying my hands are too small, did you come here to upgrade or not? Etc. She made me feel so embarrassed infront of my husband at one point. She's just so rude and needs an attitude check.
Fyi- avoid Racquel! Probably gets commission since her only concern was about selling and not...
Read moreI came here to do some holiday shopping and the person who greeted us, Wandy, had an extremely condescending demeanor. I asked to see necklaces with a set price of around $200, she took me to clearance and without even checking the display, she quickly suggested I simply go to Ulta and buy a $50-$75 dollar gift card because “I wouldn’t find anything of that price in a jewelry store, especially not this one.” She continued to explain a bunch of nonsense, enough to draw me away as a client who was 100% committed to buying from the company. I felt disrespected as this woman came to me and told me to lower my price and look elsewhere, as I never asked for any of her poor suggestions, and she was clearly reluctant to even try and sell to me. Wandy lost profit for the company, I instead went to Pandora and spent over the $200 mark, but at least the employees at Pandora did not judge me based off an initial budget or by my appearance. It must be terrible to think that you’re better than others because of where you work and the accessories you wear… Wandy, please humble your self and Zales, please don’t allow your employees to treat customers as if they don’t belong and...
