The Sarku Japan staff at Cross County in Yonkers is either stupid or racist. Possibly both. Yesterday my husband tried to pick up food we'd ordered online. Ten minutes later he came back to the car. No food. The cashier had said she had no order in his name. She brushed him off in a nasty way without really looking at the confirmation on his phone; as if he were trying to pull a scam. He got his wallet with further proof and went back. Another ten minutes passed after which I went in and we both spoke to a different employee. He tried to ignore us. After having to make a scene, the man finally took the time to go through the waiting take-out bags. He found our order. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. Read moreThe staff was disrespectful & dismissive when I showed up for my on-line order. I showed my phone with the Doordash info indicating my order was ready, but both a woman and man there said there was no order there for me. They just glanced at the phone & gave me very unfriendly looks as if I were a criminal. After a back & forth argument lasting more than 10 minutes, the man finally found my order which had been sitting there all along. He handed it to me with no apology. I have never been treated like that in a restaurant before. I noticed that all the customers were Black or people of color like myself . Couldn't help but detect a bit of racism in the disrespectful way I was treated.I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE! Rev....
