The Longhorn Steakhouse is a well-established and wonderfully regarded casual dining restaurant that’s known for offering guests a multitude of delicious dishes ranging from high quality ribs, steaks, chicken, salmon, shrimp, salads, hamburgers and sandwiches. The restaurant is owned by Darden Restaurants and is known for its Western Texas theme. The interior of the restaurant features Western memorabilia such as cowboy figurines, cowskulls and saddles.
In June of 2024, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Longhorn Steakhouse, specifically the branch based at the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, New York, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience!!!
We were kindly welcomed and treated by the restaurant’s staff and were quickly provided with a very comfortable dining table. Our server, Sabrina G. was very polite and professional, and deserves great recognition for the amazing service that she provided. Sabrina was very attentive and courteous to us, superbly addressed all of our menu inquiries, and did a great job on noting our meal selections.
In addition to the great service that we received, both my wife and I found our Longhorn Steakhouse meal to be amazing!!! We found our honey wheat bread appetizer to be quite scrumptious, and found our salad to be tasty and very well-made!!! We also found our entree to be quite irresistible!!! My wife ordered and loved her grilled lamb chops and mashed potato meal, while I ordered and enjoyed my full rack ribs with fries. Our entrees was mouth watering delicious, perfectly cooked and flawlessly seasoned!!!

Read moreI attended Longhorn today for the first time in a few months. It is one of my favorite chain restaurants. The Yonkers location has been great every time I went after graduations or just for casual dining. Today was the worst service I’ve had in the multiple times I’ve attended. The waitress Kimberly M, shorter lady with red hair made my experience poor. She was rude when she introduced herself which is not a big deal. We gave our drink and appetizer orders and asked for her to come back so we could figure out entrees. She did not return for 20 minutes. When she did, I as well my guest ordered meals that came with two sides. Neither of us received our vegetable sides. We waited 10 minutes hoping the vegetables would arrive. They never did. We tried to flag down other servers, one ignored us, the other said they’d go check but never returned. Kimberly never once returned to check on us until 30 minutes later. We ate our food without the vegetables were just going to let it go until when she did return and we informed her we never got vegetables. She responded “oh, you want a free dessert?” I agreed. She put down the desert menu and I quickly glanced at it. I knew what dessert I wanted as soon as I looked but she left before I could tell her. She didn’t come back for 15 minutes. By that time I had called for the manager to ask for assistance. Kimberly saw us asking for assistance and asked was there something we needed. I informed her we had requested a manager. She responded with “k” and left. The manager did do his best to make things right. The food that we did receive was fine but Kimberly’s service was terrible. I would not recommend her...
Read moreWhere do I begin…visited for the first time for my husband’s birthday. I noticed they did not take reservations however you could add yourself to the waiting list. This option gives you an estimated wait time. It is ALL for show because you absolutely will be waiting wayyy longer than that time. I was told upon arrival that we had to wait 20 minutes. We ended up waiting 40 minutes. When I asked one of the hosts how much longer it would take because we were told 20mins, she responded “20 minutes? Are you sure that’s what you were told” like somehow I misunderstood basic English. Than we finally get our table, we order our meal and a few minutes later our waiter comes out to let us know they were having some tech issues in the kitchen so we would be waiting for a while, while they “sort things out.” We appreciated the transparency so we waited. What we did not appreciate was that when our food did come out it was cold; my husband didn’t receive the right sides and my stake was way undercooked. We told the waiter and he was quick to try resolve the issue. However, we received the same exact plate microwaved! STILL we tried to move past it and enjoy what was left of a less than ideal night. While eating my husband found a piece of foil in his salmon. Lastly, our waiter was so kind and attentive but we could tell he was really being pulled in several directions so it was difficult to get a hold of him and it took a long time to actually get the check paid that we had to flag down another waitress to run our card.
