This review is solely based on the customer service by Christine. I ordered the pigacado toast (their version of avo toast with bacon). It took over 20 mins to receive (after she served the people who ordered behind me first). I had an 11 am appt across the street and received my food at 10:45 am. I sat in the patio at my appt and took two bites that was cold and inedible. When I returned to advise the food was cold and inedible, Christine was upset and said, “I don’t believe you!” I reminded her that she served the two ppl behind me first and my food was sitting on the counter. I asked for another serving and she was upset. I said, you can see I didn’t eat it and it did take over 20 mins to get my order. She reluctantly made another that only took 6 mins to prepare. Why it took over 20 mins the first time (I suspect they made mine (had it sitting then made the other two order). Christine (or whatever her name is- she was on duty on Fri, 7.1 at 10:20 am. with Gianna, who is much friendlier), should willingly listen to the customers, if the food is cold, make it right, don’t get mad at the customer for your faux pas! Bad customer service when there was an opportunity for customer service...
Read moreThe Claremont Village Eatery offers a cozy spot for a quick lunch, but my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. Located conveniently in Claremont Village, it’s a small restaurant where you order at the counter and have your food brought to you.
I decided to try the harvest salad and the tuna melt. Unfortunately, the salad was initially served very plain, missing essential fixings, bread, and oil. However, the manager promptly addressed this, bringing the missing items during our meal. Once complete, the salad was quite good. The tuna melt was decent, but it came without any sides, which felt underwhelming for the price.
While the food quality was satisfactory, the portions did not justify the cost, making it a pricier option for a quick lunch. Despite these hiccups, the staff was courteous and responsive, which I appreciated.
Overall, The Claremont Village Eatery has potential, but there is room for improvement in terms of portion sizes and initial attention to detail. I might consider giving it another try in the future, but for now, it’s not at the...
Read moreI come here often and was horrified by the customer service I received. There are only four little 18inx18in tables to eat outside this place. It was me and two other ppl. The blonde women who is either owner or manager came to clean the two little tables we put together so we could eat. She said she wanted to take a table away and have us 3 share one little table. I told her it would be too crammed for three plates on 1 little table. She tried to make me feel bad that there aren’t enough tables for other customers even though no one else was coming in. Also it is not my responsibility as a patting customer to accommodate other customers. She should have more tables or post a sign only party of 2 can eat outside. Then she said, “ok well thank you for eating fast.” We hadn’t even received our food yet! She was already pushing us out the door! So rude. I’m 7 months pregnant and came to enjoy a lunch with mom and daughter. It was extremely unprofessional and rude. They also are not ada compliant I felt so bad for the man in the wheelchair...
