TL;DR - Curbside Pickup Issues: Takes too long for someone to answer the phone. Sauces not included with the meal. Modifications/Substitutions are Very Limited on mobile app.
About a year ago, I started working nearby. This is on my list of places for Lunch. It’s close and one of the easier places to get in & out of. But, unfortunately, it’s picked less because of a couple issues that haven’t changed since my first few visits. The food actually tastes pretty good, but i don’t always get it the way i want, nor receive everything that i assume should be included. (I don’t dine-in, so no opinion of the inside - waiters/cleanliness/ atmosphere.)
I always place a mobile order ‘To Go.’ The app/website need more features/options for modifying ingredients. For example, i’d like to omit mushrooms from the cheesesteak, but they don’t allow it.
Every single time i call the restaurant to let them know i’ve arrived - which the auto message itself is way too long/slow - the call is Always ignored/hung up and i get the ‘disconnected/busy tone.’ I’ll wait 3-5 minutes and try again, in case it was an accident the first time. But, then you realize it’s on purpose because it continually happens. Eventually someone will answer, often sounding annoyed. I’ve been parked as long as 10-15 min before reaching a person on the phone, and waited upwards of 20-30 minutes to actually get my food. Then im left with 5 minutes to scarf it down.. And it’s not like i arrive super early, calling immediately after placing the order. I usually wait the ‘allotted 10-15min pickup time’ then drive over. So overall wait time is 30-45 min. from ordering to receiving my lunch from here. The entire parking lot is usually kind of empty, and the Curbside spots rarely have anyone else parked. Wonder why.. So they don’t ever seem to be too busy when i go, but maybe are shorthanded. Either way, i’m fine to wait - just answer the phone and actually acknowledge me. Kinda sad that McDs has better service.
My other big gripe is with the Signature Sampler appetizer. The photo shows 3 chicken tenders with honey mustard next to them, 4 mozzarella sticks and red sauce, spinach artichoke dip and tortilla chips with queso. The description says ‘boneless wings, artichoke dip & mozz sticks.’ So the confusion for the customers And employees is understandable, but still annoying and something that Can be fixed. The mobile app Only lets you Modify the ‘Tomato Basil’ or ‘Honey Mustard’ with Only ‘BBQ or Ranch’. No option to decline an ingredient, like the artichoke (not that you receive the sauces anyway).
I have Never received the queso pictured. I only receive the honey/tomato sauces if i Pay for ‘Extra Sauce.’ I sometimes substitute them just so i can get Something to dip the food in, but i really prefer the 2 i should be getting rather than Ranch/BBQ… Maybe it’s a training issue, or maybe the in-house system just doesnt properly display the...
Read moreIf I was by myself, I would rate this a 1 star after last night’s shoddy performance. From the start, this place pretty much sucked. The girls at the front didn't greet my wife and I when we entered (they are supposed to) but that's not a big deal. Then they want to stick us in a 2-seater booth. I said no. (common sense dictates that big people should not be stuffed into small booths.) The girls rolled their eyes and begrudgingly gave us one of several open 4-seater booths. So, we are seated and then we get our drinks, so good so far. We order an appetizers and dinner. (burger, cheese sticks, and a salmon dish.) This took forever, and when the main course finally arrived the wife asked about the cheese sticks, the dizzy waitress said, "Oh they didn't bring it out to you?", as if it was someone else's job to be the server, and there was no sign of an empty appetizer plate on the table. I just said cancel them. She said "sorry". So, I bite into my burger......despair.... it’s been left in the heating window the entire time and is only luke-warm, with the side order of fries being cold. I eat the burger because I was starving and ignore the soggy fries. Wife’s food was fine, she had no complaints on the salmon (only reason they got 2 stars here, being fair). Ok so when someone messes up a manger should come by and be a manager, you know try and smooth over problems? He walked past out table 10 times and couldn't be bothered to do damage control. This place used to be good, but it’s pretty much an expensive dumpster fire of a restaurant. Unless you want a salad bar (which is just as good anywhere else), or salmon, I would suggest moving on down the road to...
Read moreThis was our second visit to this location. Please do not let this review affect how you feel about the restaurant as a whole. We ended up having the same waitress, named Heather that we had the first time we came. The first time we visited this Ruby Tuesday and seemed as if she was getting fired as a manager screamed her name from across the restaurant and said I need to speak to you right now. Which was a disturbance at best, the problem with this waitress is she is extremely angry, she does not have good tableside manners and is very quick to cut you off. Tonight was equally as awful. They did not have onion rings so they up charge me for sweet potato fries which I didn’t want but there wasn’t much to choose from, there was no courtesy she was late on refilling drinks and is soon as a table of older men that wanted to be there for consumption of alcoholic beverages arrived she gave her entire attention to that table! In addition to that, it was another young lady who told this group of men that she was getting off the clock soon this woman was heavyset dark hair small handbag, she sat with them making jokes talking loudly and swearing and then said oh! I better clock out after clocking out, returned to the table and had more conversation loud enough for the entire restaurant hear & then left. I plan on speaking to the general manager tomorrow via phone and if it’s not addressed I will go higher than that by contacting corporate this is absolutely...
