Drake's Clarksville has done a fantastic job remodeling the old Demos' Restaurant. The restaurant is bright, airy and trendy. It will remind you of a roadhouse type restaurant only cooler. The food was good. Not fantastic, but it was good. I experienced some difficulties with my food, but being a newly opened establishment, it is almost a given. The Chips and Dips was excellent, especially the guacamole. I ordered the Cheddar Burger. For a fresh burger, it was pretty good. The tater tots were overly salted. They were not the best tots but still better than other restaurant offerings. The coleslaw. Mayo based or vinegar based. Drake's Coleslaw looked like Mayo based but tasted like both and it was not good. Overall, the food was good. The service was excellent. Most reviews rave about the service and it is well deserved. It was nice dining there a definitely worthy of a visit. As Drake's has been opened for a longer period of time and I have visited many more times, I thought I would revisit my initial review. Almost every single visit to Drake's, I have an issue with where I am seated. I am not going to dedicate several paragraphs to this issue but it is the only reason why I don't go to Drake's more often. Overall, the food is still very good and the service is very good as well. The Chips and Dip are still phenomenal and I highly recommend as an appetizer. I initial panned the coleslaw. Now it seems to be more vinegar based and not bad as coleslaw goes. The French Fries were cold and over salted last visit. The tater tots were greasy and over salted. Everything should be good but nothing ruins a good entree like a bad side dish. My initial review is much like my current review of Drake's. I dislike that the food you receive is so inconsistent each time you order it. Still, Drake's has better food and atmosphere than most other places in Clarksville Tennessee. It is worth a visit.

2 year update. I wish I could give it all 5 stars because the staff I interacted with was 5 stars. 4 out of 4 of us was cold on a 97 degree day. So the ac and fans work great if you are from the north. Food, we all enjoyed our food. It was hot and fresh. I ordered what I thought would be the most simple order possible, cheddar burger with only ketchup. The waiter even asked no onions? I replied nothing but bun and cheese nothing else. It was delivered with pickles under the burger. I didn't complain because I believe the waiter ordered it correct and it was cold at our table so every was eating quickly. So my bad on not getting them to fix it... I typically wouldn't ask for a fix anyway. Last is the men's restroom situation and handicap laws/regulations. The bathroom was large enough for my powerchair to move around. The first issue as I entered the stall was the public safety hazard of a toilet paper holder. No cap on an iron pipe pointed vertical. I don't think I need to explain the transfer process from a wheelchair to a toilet to give you the fall hazard and injury that could happen. Last was the placement of the extra trash can. It was in front of the paper towels to dry your hands on... also in front of the ONLY working faucet and soap dispenser. Oh and the music is way too loud in the restroom too. I doubt a yelling injured person could be heard outside or even in the same room. Come on guys you were great 2 years ago, what/who is different? Waitress was well above average in attention to details. We did have to move to the small outside tables due to the extremely loud speakers. I worked construction and played instruments in bands and found it to loud.

Are you looking for an amazing restaurant? How about some quality, tasty food? Do you enjoy awesome and enjoy customer service? What about great employees? If so, this is the restaurant to be at. After all, it just opened up on May 3rd, 2022. I've been to one of these restaurants in Nashville and I just had to try it again. I must say, it's good and I love the food! You can tell the upper management cares about what customers think about the restaurant, the employees smile and take care of their customers, and much more. If you love to watch a game, then you'll enjoy this place! There are literally televisions everywhere. They have T.V.s for DAYS. I ordered the Chips N' Dips and it was a lot of good. This appetizer probably will do you justice. I'll say the salsa was really good and handmade too. Followed by ordering the Mushroom Swiss Burger with a side of fries too. And my friend ordered some Chicken and tater tots. My waitress Allie and my bartender Jay were outstanding. Both really took care of me too. Allie ensured I had everything I needed for food wise and Jay was amazing too. He helped me pick out a drink since they ran out of Strawberry Kiwi. I ordered the drink called Berry Wheated Sour. It was tasty. Either way, I think you will love this place. The vibe is chill, the employees are pleasant to deal with, and the food is great! Know this though, you may want to get to the restaurant s little earlier so you don't have to wait, in case. I highly recommend this place. Bring the kiddos, your family, and the entire squad of friends. The business can accommodate you and make sure you are happy. Surely you will not be disappointed, I know I wasn't.

Really disappointed by this experience. I have been by myself, with friends, or with my husband, many times now and I guess i’ve just been lucky the other times to always have great bartenders or servers that day. Today, I went with my husband and 2 friends, and had Ellie as a server, she was an absolute sweetheart and seemed to be new since I hadn’t seen her before and just other things. Anyways, Shiloh, who seemed to be one of the bar managers, was also behind the bar and was supposed to be training her. My issues first started when we arrived and Shiloh saw our group, we are younger, and chose not to serve us and instead turned to Ellie and asked her to help us. I can excuse that as I have also been in this industry for 8 years and understand being stressed at high volume times but she wasn’t busy at the time so it seemed more of like, “I don’t think they’re going to tip me well so I’m not serving them”. After that, my friends arrived and now we were a group of 4, which honestly isn’t much, and Ellie noticing that Shiloh wasn’t busy tried asking Shiloh for help in making our drinks but she refused and instead I waited 20+ minutes off my drink while I watched as new people sat down and got served quickly by the manager, Shiloh. During that time she passed by us several times asking every other guest if they needed anything or if they had gotten everything except for my group. My problems with her persisted when I witnessed Ellie and her making a drink at the same time at the well and she continuously showed her attitude. Over the entire 2 hours we were at Drakes, we witnessed Shiloh, the supposed manager and trainer of the bar, persistently refuse to help Ellie, refuse to help us until the very end when we had asked for our checks, and consistently give attitude when Ellie was just asking for direction. Shiloh should not be in a position to train others since she obviously doesn’t want others to work there and I ask that everyone who is unfortunately served by her to refuse to leave a tip the way she refused us and refuses to do her job as a trainer and even as a bartender. It’s sad to see that bartenders who see others as competition seem to dominate and are in high positions in this area. I’ve learned that people like that never last and I hope that management considers ending her time with them soon or keep losing clientele for horrible service and horrendous...

Six of us ladies went for a celebration on 03 Dec 2021; we have curves, the booth is NOT curve friendly. The wait for a table on a Friday night was 30 minutes and we were seated in less. When we declined the cramped booth, we were offered a table with backless bar stools, not a complaint there, just more of a warning. Our server did however grab an actual bar stool that had a back from the bar to accommodate one in our group. Drinks: Michelob in a bottle, water with lime, sweet tea, Long Island ice tea and a Sprite; when the server comes back, "I'm sorry, I put your lime in the Sprite." Do you only have one lime? Could you not take it out? Chopsticks save the day, we move on. Twenty minutes later, the ladies who ordered the Michelob and L.I. ice tea are still waiting. Refills on the non alcohol drinks didn't happen until we were about to leave, with the exception of a glass of WARM ice less tea. The Michelob friend was charged for three, when another server had brought her a "second" not realizing she had just gotten one. Food: Three burgers a tuna lovers roll and a teriyaki bowl. All three burgers were cold as were the fries, the teriyaki bowl contents was cold, but the bowl was warm. The tuna lovers roll was room temperature and the "seared" tuna on top tasted like, "chewing on a wet paper towel", friends description. It took over a half hour and manager intervention for a pretzel to arrive. Service: Before COVID, there were and still are other illnesses, mask or no mask, respect the personal bubble! Our server closed in on the end of our short tight table and leaned right in, inches off my face. I started to lean into the person next to me, the server saw that as an opportunity for encroachment. The server continued to invade the table space until they left, and apparently found nothing awkward about me literally laying on the person beside me to avoid them. From then on, our server was harder to find than the Infinity Stones. When a manager came over, we stated our issues, and he pushed HARD to replace the food. Sushi and teriyaki bowl, declined replacement; both had stomach upset within the hour. Sushi was sick before even leaving. Yes, this was a long review, to the reader, I apologize. But it wasn't one, but a combination of a LOT of things that will keep us from returning. I had...

We've been to Drake's four or five times over the last couple of years. Not that it's bad, but there are other (favorite) places nearby that we go to more regularly. Yesterday we decided to return to Drake's for dinner and drinks. The one thing we like there is the variety of food and (personally) the list of beer, complete with four serving sizes and associated prices, making for a fun analytical process for someone like me with OCD. I immediately found that most draft beers were cheaper per ounce if you bought the 12oz glass compared to the 16oz. Not a big deal, but interesting. We ordered beers and the server recommended the Shiner Cheer. I stayed with the regular Shiner Bock, but my girlfriend went with the Shiner Cheer. As the beers came out I was looking at the price list and noticed that the 23oz Bock was $8 and the 23oz Cheer (same brewery) was $14. Six dollars more for the seasonal offering. We didn't say anything about it since the prices were there in plain sight, but raised some flags since the expensive beer was specifically recommended. When it came time to get a second round, the server asked "Another of the same?". We pointed out the huge price difference and said a different beer would be chosen. He then said (smirking) "If I knew that I would have tried to sell more this week". Not the reply we had expected. It seems like they may get rewarded for selling a dramatically more expensive beer. Ultimately our food order was taken and when the food came out we had been there for about an hour. The club sandwich and tots I ordered were room temperature, and my girlfriend's burger was actually cold. Her salad came out with the burger, suggesting that all of it had been sitting ready for a while in the kitchen. We mentioned this to the server and manager and the issues were attempted to be offset by a discount and some coupons for a future visit. I'm not sure when we'll attempt another visit. It may have been an "off night" for the Drake's team, which happens. But the beer price issue is...
