We went in around 6:30 pm for dinner on Wednesday night. We rarely go to Red Lobster, so we were both looking forward to an excellent, fine dining experience. We were sorely disappointed. The staff and waiter were great, no complaints there. The atmosphere was nice. I liked how quiet it was compared to other restaurants. We both ordered the daily deal, which was Surf and Turf. When the waiter brought out our food, it was barely lukewarm. We were expecting a freshly cooked lobster tail, and steak hot off the grill, but what came to the table was not hot, and that spoiled the whole, special experience of eating steak and lobster tail. Who wants to eat, cold, tough, steak, and cold, slimy lobster tail? My steak and my wife's steak looked totally different, even though we ordered the same thing. Mine was flatish, and hers was like a big lump. I ordered mine medium well and it came to the table basically rare on one half and well done on the other half, so I guess, in a sense you could call it medium-well... She ordered her steak medium, but her lump came to the table undercooked and dripping. My steak was so tough I just lost my appetite. In any case, both of our steaks were cold when they arrived at our table, as was the lobster and my fries. I don't know how that could have happened because we did not have to wait long for our meals to come out. What I mean is, I don't think the waiter let the plates sit on the warming rack too long, I think something sketchy is going on in the kitchen. Honestly, it was like eating yesterday's leftovers, but not heating them up in the microwave long enough. I guess I remember now why we don't go to Red Lobster. At those prices, a restaurant can't afford to serve a meal with greasy spoon standards, wait, at least at a greasy spoon my food comes to...
Read moreWe dined in at the Clarksville, TN Red Lobster yesterday and during our meal, a party of 4 was seated directly next to us and they both walked in carrying DOGS. They sat the dogs in the booth chairs and be mindful our seating on one side was connected to that same booth. Our 9 yr old son is allergic to dogs and he got up and moved to the individual seats on the other side of our table to move away from the dog. We heard their waitress say, "Oh yeah, those are my regulars." We notified the manager and he said that service dogs were allowed and we informed him that these were indeed not service dogs. I myself am a disabled vet and I am eligible for a service dog and I informed him that actual service dogs are to be on the floor, on a leash and require identification. These 2 dogs had none of the such. The party of 4 placed the dogs in between them on each side of the table to attempt to hide them. The manager said that he would address them so we watched from our vehicle to see what he would do. We saw him casually glance into the seating area and go back out. I went back in to let him know hat they were hid between them and where to look. Our waiter met me and said hey he was confused as to why the dogs were allowed in also. He got the manager for me and he said he was looking and didn't see them and would go back. Once again we watched from our car to see him address the situation, but we simply saw him approach the table and say a few words and take the empty bread basket away. He did not address the dogs at all. In our opinion he was afraid to let them know that dogs at the dining table was unacceptable. We contacted corporate and they said that the Director of Operations would contact us by the 28th, which is tomorrow. We will...
Read moreLove Red Lobster since I was a kid. Tonight was very disappointing. Food was good but our server kept messing up our food. First was our baked potatoes. My wife ordered with cheese and butter only. Mine was butter and sour cream. Came out with just cheese on hers and just butter on mine. Wife informed our server about it and she told her there was butter on hers it just melted. Ok we asked for a bowl of garlic butter for our food and just got 1 little ramekin. Asked for a bowl a 2nd time and again another ramekin. I got the unlimited shrimp. Scampi and grilled shrimp. It was good however I ordered a refill of the same and was brought grilled shrimp and not shrimp scampi but some spicy shrimp. A manager was at a table behind us when I turned around to find our server, the manager asked if we were good. I asked her why my scampi looked and tasted different from what I just ate. Our server popped back to our table about that time and the manager said that what I had was Baja shrimp and not scampi that I had ordered. The server said that it was her first week on the job. Obviously and she shouldn't have been serving on her own. Ok I was asked by the manager if I wanted her to correct it, by this time we had enough so I declined the offer. So the server goes to get the check and of course there are no discounts no other offers nothing. For my wife, myself and our 10 yo son was $75.00. Ok now the icing on the cake. This server stands over me after bringing my card and receipt back to see if I was leaving a tip. SERIOUSLY. Here's a tip, more training in hospitality. It shall be a while before we return to this location. I get that help is hard to find but geez, and to wait and watch to see if a customer leaves a tip,...
