Kansai is a fantastic spot if you’re in the mood for some tasty Japanese food. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The service is on point – everything moves quickly, so you’re not left waiting around, and the staff is attentive, ready to help with recommendations or make sure you’re enjoying everything. The food itself is outstanding. Each dish comes out fast and is clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, ramen, or crispy tempura, Kansai delivers every time. The sushi rolls are nicely put together and packed with flavor, while the ramen has a rich, comforting broth that’s perfect for any day. The portions are generous but manageable, making it easy to try a few dishes or share with friends. Overall, Kansai hits the mark for a great Japanese dining experience. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor. With excellent food, friendly service, and a relaxed vibe, Kansai is definitely worth visiting, and you’ll probably be planning your next trip before you even finish your meal.

First time visiting the steakhouse. We all had a wonderful time with our family. The kids really loved the food show! The food was great too, the staff was awesome as well. My brother and his girlfriend go at least two times a month, so we had to give it a try and see what the hoot was all about, lol. Must say it was pretty good and we really enjoyed ourselves. The plates are very large, so if you're going in with several kids, they all do not need their own meal. At least 2 kids can share one meal. My mother, daughter, who is five, and I all shared one meal. You first get a soup and salad, then rice, then your meat & veggies. It's all kids of served to you at seperat times. But we all had something a little different, and it was all delightful and so good. We had a few appetizers to share. We went in with about 8 of us, I believe, and spent around $200, so just be prepared to spend a little money if you want to go to a cool Japanese steakhouse like this. And remember, we even shared plates as well. I'm just trying to leave an honest review. But all in all, it was delicious and we will visit again!

Great food! Great staff and chefs! Very friendly people who will go out of their way for pleasant customers who engage them in authentic conversation. The manager is awesome and has a quick wit! (Tell him you read my review!) Sit at the sushi bar and smile - a lot. These unsung heroes stand on their feet and deliver day after day, hour after hour. They LOVE the visible interaction and will even create something 'special' just for you. I've frequented this sushi bar enough now that I sit down and they just start bringing my favorites! That is very special treatment - especially when you bring a guest who comments about just how wonderful you are treated by the staff. If you like spicy, try this order: "I'd like an Angry Ex-wife... and she's REALLY angry tonight!" I've included a picture. It's AMAZING!! Be nice! These folks will reciprocate. Happy eating!

Update March 2019: : haven't been here in the last 6 months. It has changed.. Very disappointed. My tween age child's birthday was today and Kansai is were she chose to eat with her friends. The cook pretty much essentially ignored them the whole time and spoke almost exclusively to the other couple (strangers) that was set at our table. The cooking was very fast without any of the fun that the kids normally enjoy. It was over very very fast. There would have been more enjoyment from watching it as YouTube video. Then when the other couple finished and left, (they ate very quickly) they started cleaning up everything while my family was still eating. Then they stood behind us waiting for them to finish. So we stand up waiting to pay our check because we felt that we were being rude at that point . We stood there awkwardly for about 5 minutes before they finally came to let us pay our bill. They completely ignored that it was my daughter's birthday. They didn't even bring her the piece of cake that we requested and was paying for.

This was the fastest time we have ever been in and out of a restaurant like this. My family doesn't Iinger while eating or after eating. We are very respectful tonhow busy the restaurant is. This was ridiculousy fast.

When I am paying well over $100s for a meal, I expect to have more than 10 minutes to eat

They made us feel like we were bothering them and not paying customers. Very disappointed. I'm 99% sure that we were not the only family that felt that way.

The only positive was that the food was descent. But not even close to being worth $130 for 4 meals. We could have went to Panda Express for much cheaper and a better experience... Very disappointed in a restaurant that we did visit quite frequently I'm the past.

Original post: Food is great. Staff are funny and great with kids. It's a show and an experience. Sushi is well made, fresh,...

I've been coming to this restaurant for probably 20 years, or whenever it opened. Over time, the experience has went from being fun and exciting, SO delicious, something to look forward to, an experience, then to tonight, which may result in a pretty good chance I will never return.

I treated myself and my 2 kids to a nice dinner. Something I don't get to do often as a single mom. They picked here.

We got there and were seated quickly at a grill. The waitress was already there and we were rushed into our drink order without even looking at what they had. At the same time she wanted our order. My boys and I ordered sushi and 2 meals. The only relaxing time of our night was the 15 minutes it took for our sushi to come, but not 5 minutes later we were bombarded with our soup, salad, and the chef was already cooking. We did not get to finish our soup, salad, or sushi before our plates were loaded with the meal. The chef didnt seam to care at all. He gave only 1 of my kids a chance at the rice throwing in the mouth thing, something that creates laughs and it is definitely something we look forward to and talk about. But my other son did not and was so disappointed. Half the table didnt either.

Before, the chef would offer sauces on the side, and heavily seasoned our meal. Tonight, I got one sauce side between the 3 of us and im pretty sure he didnt sauce anything on the grill besides butter and oil. The food was bland and just not appetizing at all! We ended up taking home 3 boxes to go because no one ate anything. Hoping I can fix it up into something and still eat it since it COST OVER $100!! & NOT WORTH A PENNY!

This experience was sickening however I tried to stay positive for my kiddos until we left. I will never return and will spread the message to those I know.

Should have just went to yummy bowl or...

This place used to be enjoyable and great to go, no longer is. After two worse than terrible experiences at this restaurant I will no longer be back. Visited this location in November, sat at the bar and it took over 3 hours to get food. We only ordered chicken and rice and steak and rice. That experience alone was enough for me not want to go back besides the bartender was very helpful and nice and made up for most of the inconvenience. This time we had a waitress who not only didn’t speak English she could not understand any English. Within the 2 1/2 hours we were there she was at the table 4 times. 2 of the times were to clear all empty plates. We had a party of 6, 4 people got their food after 1 hour of waiting. 1 got only noodles after 1 1/2 hours. We hit the 2 hour mark and I still had not received any food. Someone else brought my order out and a to-go box. I got up spoke with the manager when my food was brought out and told him to cancel my order because everyone else was done eating at that time ready to leave. They didn’t even have the common courtesy to bring mine out on a plate to begin with, if that’s the kind establishment this place has become. The manager comped some of the bill and added a 20% gratuity onto the check. When we told our waitress that came back to get more plates on the third time we told her to bring a manager back with her and she made a smart remark when she walked off. The bill was corrected. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant combined and I will definitely never be back to this...
