I hate to be this person, but this was a genuinely disappointing experience. Food here is delicious, but the service is truly terrible.
When I arrived, there was a fairly long line, so I decided to put in my order via the app. My order was officially submitted at 1:53. I went and sat down. I started to think something was up when I noticed people who came in well after me had their orders. I'm pretty patient and was busy studying, but around 2:30 they came out to ask another guy who arrived after me about his order. I asked if they could check on mine, as well. Other guy got his order, I continued to sit. Finally, around 2:35 I got my smoothie. I asked about my flatbread and was told they were making it. Five minutes later, I asked a second employee about it. She said she would check. She came back to explain they were remaking it because they "couldn't find it." She was the first and only employee to apologize for the inconvenience. I did not receive all of my order until 2:45, a full 50 mins after ordering. I wasn't in a hurry, so at least there's that, but the fact that only one employee kind of apologized and the rest didn't seem to care was pretty irksome. Read moreWell, reached the end of my rope here. I go to this tropical smoothie often because it is the closest one to me. Unfortunately, there's always an issue. Either the service is extremely slow, or the naturally sweetened drink that I favor has added sugar. Today, I ordered a sandwich, a drink, and a cookie through the App to be delivered by DoorDash. I received two kids drinks and no food. When I called the store (because DoorDash said this was a store issue), I was told "sorry, it's been a busy day." I fail to see how that's my problem. Meanwhile, the lady who answered puts the phone down to yell at the staff that they were "pissing her off." Then, I was asked if I wanted to come pick it up. NO, I paid to have it delivered! So, a refund? Yes, please. "I'm sorry, we're in a rush, I'll call you back." Two hours later I call back because WTH. "Sorry, it's been busy. Your food is still sitting here." Ma'am, no one cares about that cold food, run me my money. "Give me your name and I'll make sure I process your refund before I leave." Read moreI have been enjoying smoothies from various stores in Florida, Georgia and now Tennessee for over 3 years, I actually worked at a store in Georgia for about a year. I usually place my order through the app so that it’s ready when I arrive. That makes it, usually, in and out rather quickly. I have NEVER been asked to produce proof that I placed and paid for the drink. I just went into the store off of Wilma Rudolph and said that I had an online order for Christina. I even provided what I ordered, complete with the extra ingredients. The guy on smoothie station asked for my receipt/proof of my purchase. I had to return to my car and get my phone. I opened the app and handed him my phone as I wasn’t sure of what exactly he wanted to see. It even took him time to locate my order. Is this a new policy??? Is my name and EXACTLY what I ordered no longer information enough??? My experience tonight left me with, no pun intended, a bad taste in my mouth.
