Where do I begin? My interaction with Culvers occurred in a very interesting way. I started a new job in August 2020. Around October a new installer from Milwaukee began working with my team. After a while the topic of Culvers was brought up. I had never heard of Culvers before and wasn't aware of any in North Carolina. Ironically, the same CoWorker from Milwaukee discovered and ate at a Culvers around the research triangle park. He'd been telling us about the restaurant long before he found out there was one here. Needless to say we were all very interested and excited. He'd really hyped them up. After his visit there the rest of our crew couldn't wait to go. Finally I got my chance to go there to pick up lunch for my team while we were working a job nearby. The location in Clayton was awesome. The manager was working so hard delivering food to hungry guests, and she promptly took my order. We struck up a conversation and laughed making small talk. She packed a special bag of condiments only with salt, pepper, ketchup and other goodies. No other fast food style restaurant had ever done such a thing for me. She wow'd me with her above and beyond customer service. Everyone in there was professional and looked awesome in their work uniforms. They were all attentive and performing their job duties without complaint. When I got back to the job site the guys were stunned that I'd brought Culvers back. It also just so happened to be my coworker from Milwaukees birthday (February 5th) so it was just perfect. The food was top tier. The butter burgers melt in your mouth. Its unreal. The fries were crispy and fresh with just the right sprinkle of salt. We were all so happy that we went back a few hours later for more food and dessert. The crowd had tripled by the time we returned that evening and the manager was still working just as hard. She hadn't lost a step. I was happy to see her again and informed her that I'd brough my guys back aa promised. She talked to us for a moment, informing us about the 7 Culvers throughout the state (much to our surprise) and brought us a few things before getting back to her rush of tasks. There were many families sitting and enjoying their meals. It is definitely a family oriented eatery. Best experience I've had in a while. Love it and would highly ...
Read moreI’ve gone to several Culver’s locations, typically ordering a scoop with my meal. At most locations they would give my custard either with or after my meal. However, at Clayton they simply toss your frozen custard on your table 10 minutes before your meal comes, and walk away as fast as possible. The last time this happened I thought it was a mistake and simply and kindly asked to keep it in ice since my meal hasn’t come out. But today, I asked the very unfriendly young man, Jaiden, to please keep it in the ice for us since our meals have not come out and will not for a while due to the sheer amount of customers. However, he stared at us, gripping onto our custards with pure anger, rudely demanding us to repeat ourselves claiming “he didn’t catch that,” when we were loud enough for our entire section to hear. We asked again then he stated “the ice cream comes before the meal,” after we stated it should come with or after. Which if it does, come before the meal, then that is a bad concept. I have never met anyone unless you’re 5, that wants ice cream prior to their meal. After being reluctant, rude, and staring at us for 2 minutes after a simple request he leaves. Later two other tables near by join, and after 5 minutes they both get their food before us (we were here first and for 12 minutes). So we go up to the desk checking on our food, which was ready and waiting. Our first bites were frozen cold, indicating they were sitting for a while, while Culver’s is huge on fresh and hot food. When our meals came, they forgot our drinks, which required us to go back up to the desk asking for our cups and the custard we asked to be iced. We got our meal 12 minutes after we first received our frozen custard, with cold food, and missing drinks. Every other employee was nice except for Jaiden. I used to love this location, but will no longer recommend nor come to it. The food is typically good when served with a smile and fresh. Today’s food was served with attitude, impatience, and colder than the frozen custard. I would love to rate the service -5/5 stars but I can’t so a 1/5 will suffice. Be better. Maybe talk to Jaiden about his people and soft skills, because he won’t make it far in the world with...
Read moreLove the food, love the frozen custards, best fast food around. They are always extremely fast (except when they’re crazy busy, which is often because they’re THAT good.) the food is always fresh. One time I dropped my custard on the way out and an employee rushed to help me and made me a new one, no questions asked. They then helped me to my car so I wouldn’t drop it again, very friendly and great customer service. Only issue is for the longest time I wish they’d offer delivery via Uber eats or something. I don’t have a car but the food is so damn good I happily got an Uber there and back many times. They finally got put on to Uber eats!!!! Yay! But unfortunately everything is restricted to a medium only, no large frozen custards for me so it looks like I’ll continue getting an Uber back and forth. Really hoping they’ll update the options soon and include all the sizes offered for each item! I noticed a lot of reviews stated how they won’t offer much more than a refund or a remake of your order if it comes out wrong, but I don’t see the issue in that. Sounds like people just wanted free food because of a minor inconvenience. I will say, they have never gotten anything of mine wrong or missed anything in my order, and I buy a lot of food, usually spend $60-$70 here so that’s saying something😂. If you’re wondering what to get, their chicken tenders are so incredibly tender you’d think it’s ground chicken, but it’s not. Also the concrete mixer custards are my favorite, but especially the vanilla cheesecake one. The onion rings are great as well, and as for the cheese curds I honestly prefer Dairy Queen’s… but other than that everything from here isn’t even comparable to any other fast food restaurant I’ve...
