Horrific and disgusting worker behaviors!!! I am mortified! DO NOT BRINGS YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!! COME WITH EAR PLUGS!! Tonight I went to DQ after a school event with my son to celebrate with him. We were eating our ice cream and one of the workers was chatting with her peer loudly on a personal conversation in GRAPHIC detail about a man being held at gun point begging for his life and seeing his dog shot and murdered in front of him!! There weren't many patrons in the store, my son and I were chatting about our day and the play when her voice carries and interrupts our talk. My son was visibly in ear shot of this worker who was standing clear as day in front of the register leaning over taking about this as cool and casually as if she was talking about the weather with NO regard of a customer environment NO regard for children being present NO filter at all!! This is not appropriate work conversations to have on the floor!! This is disgusting. Immediatley I had to deter my child from listening told him we were going to leave and he was upset. I spoke to the girl and the manager and made them aware we heard everything and it's NOT okay!! The look on her face was shock... which is hilarious because I'M the one in shock at how careless and repulsive someone can be at their work place with this type of conversation thinking it's "acceptable" and I'm the one with the kid and we are upset. DQ you need to step it up. If you want to be family friendly please coach your employees about what that actually means... and keep the graphic murder conversations in the back room or on break, not in the dining area where my kid is eating ice cream trying to have family time. Wth is wrong with people? Young or not, oblivious or not, this was inappropriate for any...
Read moreStopped by today to grab a late lunch with my little ones only to discover that the the dine-in option wasn’t available. This was not a big deal since the parking lot was empty and I figured we could just park and eat in the car. The attendant took my payment and this is where things start going south. They first thing they did was try to pass me the kids ice cream cones, since we were going to be eating in the car I requested a possible tray or cup so we can have something to hold them until after they finished their kids meal. They informed me they couldn’t give me a cup, but I could buy a cup for .25 cents each. I found this to be completely ridiculous. It’s not like I could use the extra cup for a fountain drink since we were not inside the store. I expressed my frustration and asked for them to please help me figure this out cause I wasn’t going to pay for the cups. The attendant checked with the manager and used a drink holder as an alternative and stuffed it with some napkins and gave me the kid cones. This was a complete disaster once I sat the tray down the cones started tipping over and 1 fell on the floor. You can imagine my frustration with 3 kids 9 and under in the car. The customer service was terrible and the manager seemed like she did not care to make any effort to resolve this matter. Great customer service is key to any business if you want repeat customers to return. I will not be returning and will make sure to inform my community of...
Read moreMilkshakes and the like are expensive everywhere. So, an expensive large BLIZZARD at the Dairy Queen at 40/42 by Peddlers Village is is not out of the ordinary. $4.69 plus sales tax for a large. It’s marketed as being so thick that the clerk will turn the shake upside down before they hand it to you. If it drips out they CLAIM it’s FREE. Several months ago I did something rare for me. I crossed over to the dark side of 40/42. The traffic is simply dangerous over there. There are so many tiny businesses crammed in on the McDonald’s side of Interstate 40. When I entered the store it was packed and there was a sweltering heat for inside an ice cream shop. I ordered my typical large Oreo Blizzard and for some odd reason the girl behind the counter didn’t tip my shake upside down. I thought it was because she was in a hurry due to the crowd. Well, I was wrong. My Blizzard was melted enough that it would have plopped out on to the counter. This is certainly not what I’m used to. Now I ONLY patronize the location at exit 150 on Interstate 40 in Mebane, North Carolina. Waisted 5 bucks that day. It was far to busy to wait in...
