Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Clearwater

In my opinion Dunkin should stick to donuts and Baskin Robbins should have stuck with Ice Cream. This was one of the worst interactions I think I have ever had with 2 young guys behind a counter who could not have been more clueless about what the their Job was or how to perform it which honestly should go up the food chain to the Area Director of this place. The place was dirty for starters. The 2 week employer that took our order had no idea how much Donut Holes were after I asked to try one, he said you you gotta pay for it, my wife said ok how much are they...his response was, I don't even know I have only been here 2 weeks...Ok can you ring 1 up and give me the price then...Moving on to the kid scooping the ice cream, had no idea what our order was because they are both standing on 2 seperate sides, would make sense for the cashier to ring up our order and a ticket print out over on the Ice Cream side?? Anyway he fills the cone with the freezer burnt ice cream to the rim of the cone and asked if this ok? I was baffled!! Kid have you ever seen an Ice Cream Cone? Did you get any kind of training on the job or just thrown to the wolves? I felt bad for these 2 because they had no clue. Baskin Robbins you need to hold a higher standard of training for...

I chose Baskin Robbins as my go to for 2 ice cream cakes. My first was for my husband's Birthday in which i used the Baskin Robbins app and placed and online cake order with the option to upload a photo of me and him to mark this occasion. I chose white cake with chocolate chip cream and a blue border with special instructions to write Happy Birthday to him in Spanish. I have to say i was very very impressed with the person in charge of making my cake. It turned out beautifully, it was perfect and the photo came out wonderful. The second cake was a seasonal to mark Valentines Day and i went with the Two cone Heart shaped cake with chocolate as the flavor of the cake and the Love potion ice cream which i can only describe as Chocolate chunk Black Raspberry. I had the phrase Te Quiero Mucho written on the sides of the Heart. I can only describe these cakes as works of Art. These cakes are no easy task but this person who did mine out did all my expectations and more! I will continue to order ice cream cakes from here for in the future and if anyone has doubts about how a cake would turn out custom made i will post the photos for you to see.. My husband and I have lived less than a mile from here for 2 yrs and made a point to visit many times through out the last two years. I have yet to figure out why it's such a horrible place but generally the workers couldnt care less about customer service or anything as far as I can tell. They seem clueless if you ask them to do more than give you 1-3 scoops of some ice cream, God forbid you ask for a sundae or special anything. They have to look it up in a book and take forever to make it. Forget asking for a lid for ice cream to go, that's far too difficult. On top of the ridiculously apathetic workers who also dont wear gloves while scooping ice cream, the ice cream itself.is an issue. I decided to write this review now because always the same except tonight half the ice cream was half melted.and refrozen or freezer burned...are you kidding me? Who manages this store and why is the turn over rate so horrible that you keep having to hire new people who clearly have no clue what their doing? Two years later I can say we are done hoping the store will have decent workers who actually care. Good luck in whatever you do and I hope you actually find something to do...
