Ok I picked up my order today and was asked if I had written a review. Yes I have before this is a revision. I'm sharing the good, great and the things to improve how can we get better if we don't improve. The Good store is clean, store opens early, good selection, and even some things you don't expect like Almendro Turron Durro! YAY! The great is next 99% of the employees have been wonderful. Lets talk about some of the folks on the register all helpful and try very hard. Same with the Deli and Meat Department or any other department. Bakery well those folks are just sweet and by the way cakes and cupcakes may not be fancy but for the price those confections and that frosting are my downfall. I admit it I just want a tub of that frosting for Christmas and a spoon, Lets talk about veggies its hit or miss at times the employees great and I always ask to check when things expire that is the miss part they don't have a regular calendar expiration date on some things. Pick up oh my stars Nelson made my day telling me he picked my order, he knew I check expiration dates. how nice of him. I usually send my spouse to check expiration dates on produce when I cook I need to serve quality. Now what can we improve? This is the zillion dollar question as a disable person I feel the parking lot is a death trap. the white lines guide you to the liquor store not the front door add lines from disabled spots to the front door. If I walk to the liquor store my cart is not fitting down the tiny space in the cart lane to get back to my car. Going to the gas station there is taking your like and throwing it into a vortex from hell. One guy yelled at me because the pumps were not working. Another time I was parked close to the gas station and a truck nearly plowed into me. The area needs to be re worked for safety. Bj's Telephone customer service can be a tiny bit jarring one time I got hit with a charge for milk they ran out of it. It was in stock when I placed the order. I was told this time I'll take the surcharge off like it was my fault. I can only use certain products and him making me feel bad did not sit well. Next thing to improve coupons be like Costco and just give the discount don't make me hunt for them. Life is short who wants to waste an hours sifting through coupons. Then to add insult to injury I could not find the coupon when placing an online order. Devon at the front desk to the rescue. Thanks front desk nice folks. Lastly I belong to all three local big box stores. What really is just so annoying is the pre pay for the next year send a person an email reminder don't keep harping on it at the store. When a customer goes into customer service and you get an up sell rather than what you really went there for its frustrating. One more good thing when there is an error they fix it that is a great thing. I look at the prices from all stores I have most of them memorized some things are a good and great value at Bj's. Just know your products. Tto the hard working employees of my...
Read moreUpdate 1/28/25 I cannot believe how badly this store has gone downhill! So many issues. I have been very patient and spoke to Managers over and over. Instead of issues getting handled they are not corrected and new major issues. Quality has gone downhill fresh food is not as fresh. The pickup team continues to give me expired or nearly expired Milk, eggs, Broken eggs, potatoes that are already black and going bad. The store is constantly out of items. When I prepared my last order online. It was triple the price! I looked closely and every time was padded 3 X as much. For example a LB of Deli cheese that is $5.99 was padded to $12! Which is double. Ground beef packages were being padded triple as well! This has never happened before, I have been putting in online orders for 5 years now. I spoke to the staff they have no idea. They just told me that they add extra. I'm like this is way over the norm for weighted items. I was spending between $600 and $1000 a month here. I'm now doing more shopping at Trader Joe's and Whole foods. I'm sick of getting milk that is expired. I'm sick of this store not caring about doing the right thing for ita customers. I don't have to spend my money here . I chose to become I enjoyed shopping there and the prices were fair and quality waa really good. NO MORE. IM DEFINITELY NOT PUTTING IN ANY MORE ONLINE ORDERS AND WILL BE VERY CAREFUL IF DO CHOOSE TO SHOP THERE WITH ANYTHING I BUY
This store is incredible I love shopping here. Hurricane Ian blew by and they were the only store open! Great store quality and selection! Much better than...
Read moreThis is the first BJ's in the Clearwater area. It's a new store, opening about a year ago from this review. BJ's is a club store that sells product mostly in bulk quantities, like at a Costco or Sam's Club. It is a little closer to being a grocery store than those aforementioned competitors, however, with a deli counter and some other subtle differences. There's no food court (yet) but this Bj's does sell gas on the side for members only at usually a cheap price. Unlike some other club stores, coupons are a big part of the shopping experience and while you can use the app to clip coupons, it's a bigger hassle to get the deals as there are hundreds to search through. You feel like you miss out (fomo) if you don't use the coupons, though, because they can make a big difference on your receipt price so I just grumble and start ripping them out of the magazine as I push my cart through the store. Some coupons are $2.50 in savings and greater per item which adds up quick. Some coupons not only take off the price of the product but also factor into your gasoline discount. Without the coupons I find it difficult to find any deals that would be much better than going to the local Publix so the jury is still out on whether being a member is worth it for me. It may be more of a deal for you depending on...
