Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Clearwater

Best Italian ice ever! I always get the gelati because the custard is out of this world! I'm however not a fan of the custard on the bottom and the top so I get it all on the top. It's so smooth and creamy and puts a smile on my face! Yummy! My favorite is Florida orange which is not available all the time. It has real orange pieces in it as do most of the fruit flavored ice. That's what makes it so darn good! They also offer plain Italian ice, plain Frozen Custard, milkshakes, cream ice, concrete and blendini's (like blizzards with topping add ins), cookie sandwiches with frozen custard in between, frozen Italian ice drink, and even offer a sugar free option as well! The menu is always growing with new items, new flavors, seasonal options and much more. It's a great place to bring the family and enjoy the beautiful weather with outdoor seating. (Limited seating in Clearwater). It's one of my favorite places to stop for a sweet treat, no doubt it'll be yours too! Peace and love to all...

This was the first Rita's franchise I've been to. I was very impressed! There's a TON of Italian ice flavors, frozen custard, milkshakes, and various combinations of all of the above. I went with a Misto, which is Italian ice and custard blended together. I chose the root beer ice with vanilla custard. It was freakin' amazing. The service was awesome too. There were two people working, and it was very busy with walk-up customers and drive-thru. They were killing it back there! Well done, ladies! This just became my go-to spot when I'm craving...

I have been a customer at this location for 35 years and today at about 5:45 pm I drove through the drive thru and the cashier I ordered with took my order but didn't give me the total cost of my order when I noticed I handed her a 20$ bill instead of my debit card since I didn't know how much I was being charged and then when I told her to keep a small tip she rolled her eyes didn't think me and unkindly dropped the change into the tip jar. I sadly won't return to this location but atleast the girls are not wearing bikini...
