Came with friends for a couples date night out for dinner and a few drinks.
Environment was good and fun, a bit loud but not horrible. A little outdoor seating but a good amount of indoor seating for large-ish size groups. A good amount of tvs to watch sports on and have a good viewing angle.
Service was great, the server was really nice and was good on the check ins for drinks and after food was brought out.
Food was good overall. Portions were smallish and was served on way too small of plates to try to make the portions look bigger, so that was disappointing. It also makes it hard for your food not to be falling off the plate constantly so unless you're eating the stuff that falls off your plate onto the table you lose about a 1/10 of your food as well and it's extremely messy. Food taste was okay, portions small, value for price vs what you get would be not so good I'd say. All said, yes I'll be back to eat occasionally but you're not coming here specifically because of the food but more the convenience and fun...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMossyās hands down is one of our favorites to eat at. Recently, after being discharged from the hospital with my son we decided to go there for dinner. We checked in and were promptly seated. Unfortunately, I didnāt realize my son had a blowout and since I was carrying him on my hip I ended up with poop all over my shirt š my husband immediately tried to go and find a shirt in our car and I immediately went to the bathroom to clean my son and myself. My sister told the waitress I needed a shirt and as I was coming out of the bathroom all my husband could find was a winter jacket. So there I was tired, popped on, and hungry and fully ready to wear a winter jacket in the middle of summer outside for dinner. But as I walked back to our table thats when Mossyās came to the rescue and the hostess and our waitress said āWe heard you need a shirt and are getting one for youā. I will forever be thankful for the staff at Mossyās for turning a shitty situation into a memorable and pleasant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI already rated and wrote about Mossy's, shared photos. Nothing's changed. I still ate at one of the tables outside, had a word of encouragement for the lovely young lady that served me. Food's good, reasonable, ambience inside is laid back sports bar with enough TV's to service a small neighborhood.
I'm not so much into TV talking heads with opinions, nor craft beer, but a lot of folks are, apparently, and they come here in ones and twos and clumps of six or more, even during the mid-afternoon on a Monday. Seems to be a grown-up's place. No teens, not many 20-somethings. Then maybe the TV's are largely background noise, colorful Muzak for the early tech generation. Everyone looks to be enjoying, or meeting, or hoping to meet.
The place is count-on-able, comfortable, familiar, feels safe -- as safe as anyplace is, nowadays. I've met the guy who runs it. I think he wants it that way, works to keep it so. Sure, I recommend...
