I got an heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad, instead of the pizza. The pizza is supposed to be the thing to get, but I don't know if I would go back. The restaurant is kind of expensive. We sat out back on the patio, where it was much cooler. The patio is just part of the parking lot that has an elaborate cover on it. I had a glass of prosecco, the salad special and split a gelato with my bf. I wasn't sold on the gelato either. It was chocolate with berry sorbet on top. It didn't mix well in my opinion but it's a fun idea. The majority of the 80 dollar bill was for my bf's chicken pramasian. It was $30, though there was enough for 2 meals. He brought half home and ate it the next day for a fulfilling meal. This place is probably pretty popular with a group of people in the neighborhood but I feel it's a big Eh.

Marottas was recommended to me as one of the best pizza places on the east side of Cleveland. We ordered the Malto Marotta pizza and unfortunately it was extremely dry and partially burn which overpowered the flavor of the pizza. Perhaps the pizzas with traditional red sauce are different, but from my experience this was not very good pizza and would not rank anywhere near the top pizza place on the east side of Cleveland. Originally rated this 2 stars but changed it to 1 star because half the pizza was so burnt I ended up just eating the toppings and throwing away the crust.

Ho-ly wow...this is the best pizza I’ve ever had, it’s perfect. I’ve waited up to 3 hours (that’s how busy it can get some nights) for this pizza and it was STILL WORTH IT. The pizza is huge and could easily feed 4 very hungry people. I LOVE their sausage and normally I’m not a fan. Pure chance that I ordered from this place but it might be one of the happiest accidents to date. Fantastic ingredients, chewy/crispy crust, tons of cheese. Eventually I’m gonna have to try other parts of their menu but for now, this will be a great occasional treat.

Update: I noticed the quality of food and staff have deteriorated over the last several years. The last time I was there, the server wouldn't even attend to us (things like not even asking us for a drink order or refilling our waters and repeatedly having to explicitly ask for refills while being the ONLY 2 PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT and when he did pay attention to us, he was very rude and not interested in how he could help us, but more taking off his mask and talking to the other kitchen staff who wouldn't wear masks (and they did this in visits prior to the vaccine as well). I have been going here for at least 13. I can't even remember exactly when we started. I have been a server and know the standards of service and I did not work at a nicer restaurant like this, and it was definitely not it. They didn't turn the music on the entire time we were there so it was just a silent room with this annoying beeping noise constantly happening for picking/delivery orders. It made me so unbelievably sad because I've cherished this restaurant for so long and I've repeatedly received very rude service with a server who is very pompous. Every time I'm there I pray I don't get him because he ruins my experience, but he's often the only server or 1 of 2 servers. I tried messaging Marotta's through their Facebook so I could engage them in a conversation about my concerns and if they responded in a productive manner, then I wouldn't need to change my review. Instead, they chose to see what I had to say and not even respond, which is so rude! I'm very disappointed in this establishment for lack of professionalism, poor treatment of customers, and decreasing quality of food (I order the same thing every time I'm there and I've received a tomato chunks cause instead of the luscious flavorful tomato cream sauce).

My family and I have been going here for at least 6 or 7 years. The food is amazing and the environment is nice. They just remodeled their outdoor seating area and it's very nice, well lit and is covered in case of rain. They always have so many different specials it's very impressive. Their seafood dishes are incredible. Their pizza is the best and I love their pasta. The staff is super friendly and always remember us. It is a little small on the inside but it's not...

Never again. Marotta's was my favorite pizza in the Heights, but after today, they won't get another dime from me. And won't get a recommendation either. Ordered my pie ahead for pickup. Got to the restaurant and the 3 guys behind the counter all saw me in this very tiny establishment. Mind you, I'm 6'4 and a very large black guy, so Im basically blocking the front door. In the past I have gotten my pies from any of the guys behind the counter. But no one acknowledged that I was standing there. There was a waiter with the handlebar mustache, whom I also caught eyes with, he went on about his business of serving tables. After some minutes, an older group of white people came and and the waiter promptly came up to them to seat them. Mind you, he didn't know if I wanted a seat or not, he just went straight to them and got them seated. He then cam back to me and asked if I needed help..lol...I stated my displeasure at the fact that he so promptly served them and that I was there before them. I told him I had a pickup. He handed me my pie and said have a good day..wow. To make matters worse, my 30 buck pizza was welded to the cardboard box and the wax paper had melted to the pie, to the point where we had to eat around it. I will never ever patron this restaurant again. Very...

The service was terrible. The hostess at the front desk was doing four different jobs: checking people in waiting for tables, serving people at the bar, ringing up checks and checking out to-go orders. One person should not be completing four jobs especially on a busy Friday night. My boyfriend and I waited a long time to be seated which is understandable since it’s a small restaurant and they were very busy. However, I’ve been to smaller restaurants that have better management on a busy night. The server with the mustache was horrible. He NEVER GAVE US SILVERWARE and it took him forever to take our orders. We put our appetizer order in 20 minutes after being seated and then waited 40 minutes to order our main meal. We sat down at our table at 8pm our main course did not come until 9pm. The server never and even came by to apologize for the long wait or even acknowledge that we were there. The busboys and girl were the only people attentive to us, filling our waters and asking if we wanted more bread. The food was average, my Bolognese pasta had no flavor. I don’t expect to ever go back to this restaurant due to its poor management, terrible service and...
