This place reminds me of those restaurants/bars that you would go to after your sporting events in grade school for a good meal. We ordered mostly appetizers to share for our meal.
Here is what we ordered:
Appetizers: Reuben balls - these were tasty but kind of strange. They definitely taste the best when paired with the sauce they come with. mozzarella moons - these were decent but kind of bland in my opinion Cajun calamari - one of the better calamari dishes we have had in Cleveland Buffalo chicken dip with pita - excellent because they didn’t try to get fancy with it! My favorite appetizer! soft pretzel sticks - these were just ok. They were a little hard in some spots
Soups: chicken and dumpling (soup of the day) - so good! This is the kind of dish that we will be coming in for on a winter day! potato cheddar soup - this one was just alright. I could see it being a better dip than a soup though chili - the chili was a miss in my opinion. It had the consistency of salsa and just wasn’t great in terms of flavor.
Wings: 12 Sweet BBQ boneless wings - these were delicious! I will definitely be ordering this flavor again! My husband and stepsons love boneless but I’ll probably be ordering the bone in for myself next time. We are excited to try other flavors too! 12 Garlic Parmesan boneless wings - these were really good too in terms of flavor but were a bit dry. I wish they were a bit more saucy.
Side dishes: Shoe string fries - Yum!!! These were delicious and definitely something I’ll be ordering again. Next time I’ll ask if they have vinegar to go with them. Waffle fries - my husband and stepsons really enjoyed the waffle fries. They were not my favorite because they had a seasoning on them that was orange in color that I don’t really care for. This is a personal preference thing.
Overall, New Heights Grill was delicious, the staff was kind and the interior was nostalgic with many tvs to watch sports on! We are...
Read moreOur family was looking for a new local spot that had traditional bar & grill food. Burgers, fries, grilled cheese, etc are the only types of food our 11 yr old & 8 yr old will eat. We came across the New Heights Grille when searching for nearby restaurants with this type of menu. We arrived around 6 pm on a Sunday. It has a bar along one side and tables & chairs for most of the space. The restaurant side was not busy when we arrived, but started to fill up after we arrived. The bar side was full. It's seat yourself. We were greeted after we sat down and provided with menus. I asked the server/bartender what their specialties were and ordered one of the suggestions (chicken gyro). They had a good menu with a variety of food. There's a kids menu with burgers, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, buttered noodles and a few other standard kids food. Kids also got soft pretzels as an appetizer. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time & tasted good. Service was good, friendly server. Price was reasonable. It seems like it has a following for game nights and other sporting events. There's parking next to the restaurant. We noticed carry out orders and guests continuing to arrive as we left a little after 7. Overall, it was a good experience and...
Read moreWhen it comes to take out there is no better place on Lee Road. When it comes to dining in, especially when busy, oof... We arrived at 6:30 and they were slammed. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for a table, which for a Saturday evening, no big deal. Ordered a couple beers from the bar and we waited. My suggestion fo NHG is to increase wait staff if at all possible. My favorite hostess typically works the pass, and she is one of the best expeditors I've seen, but when she is on floor trying to survive things don't always come out in sequence. Big issue though, when slammed, things get 86'd quickly. Half of the appetizer menu was unavailable, and several items on the special menu were gone and technically we're only an hour and a half into dinner service with half of the original seating still there. My party had to pivot like 6 times due to lack of menu items. Our overall stay was approximately two hours, and half of my meal did not make it to me until my party was done eating. When you're in weeds it's hard to recover. It also did not help that there was a party that took over 1/3rd of the restaurant. I will continue to recommend NHG highly for take out, but if they are slammed, you'll be there...
