Capo Steaks — Restaurant in Cleveland

I heard this place was the closest thing that you could get to a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and I have to say I was highly disappointed. I gave the three stars because they did put a lot of meat on there, but it was over seasoned. It had so much seizing on it if that’s all you taste and they drench it in the capo sauce Which is supposed to be a signature sauce from capo The fries were good. I like fresh cut fries. They were very tasty and like I said the sandwich is big. It’s loaded with a lot of meat, but it tastes nothing like a Gino’s steak from Philly. It’s absolutely at all. It barely had any cheese on there. I don’t even think they put cheese on there but yeah I give it if I could give it 2 1/2 stars I would but I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt and giving you three stars, but yeah, very disappointed not what I thought it...

I wanted to like this place. I ordered a mushroom steak, and I was disappointed with the result. Firstly, my order was not correct as it contained peppers despite my request for no peppers. Secondly, I was not expecting the meat to be chopped into such fine pieces. Third, speaking of the meat, I thought it lacked seasoning - a little salt and pepper go a long way. Fourth, the meat-to-cheese ratio was way off. A cheesesteak by definition has a lot of cheese! Finally, all of this was assembled into a bun with whatever grill-scrapings were present and wrapped up to go. The result was greasy, lacking flavor, and underwhelming. I fell in love with Capo Steaks after trying my first orignal Philly for this restaurant. I’ll be honest I wasn’t cheesesteak person but, a friend of mine convinced me to try Capos. This restaurant has forever changed my mind on cheesesteaks.The high quality of steak used combined with the seasonings alone is a perfect combination. My favorite sandwich to get is the chicken philly with works and capo sauce. Not only is the food top tier, so is the costumer service. I have been to this establishment on numerous occasions and not once have I ever received poor customer service. The vibes are always good from the time you walk in til you leave and the music always goes crazy whether is Jazz, Rap, or R&B playing.
