Where do I start with this....
The food was ok. Nothing spectacular but nothing terrible. Fried mozzarella sticks, chicken strips, and a fajita. Everything was hot when it arrived but it all seemed rather generic. Nothing on this table jumped out and said: look, I'm a fantastic dish that gives you a reason to come back. Again, the food wasn't bad. It was just....there.
The atmosphere? The place was half full on a Saturday night at 7:00 PM with the overall feel of a morgue not a happening, upbeat place to dine. Walking in, they had a wait with half of the tables open. Granted this may reflect the current labor situation in service industry. Upon being seated, the table was clearly worn where the finish had worn off exposing the wood below. The overall appearance of the table because of this was that it was streaky and dirty. Overall, an unappealing visual presentation as we were seated.
The service? By far the worst part of this experience. Our server was clearly not interested in serving anyone. She put on airs and acted like serving us and the other tables she had around us was a chore. She seemingly was not interested in serving anyone, anything. We had to ask for straws, silverware and napkins...waiting more than a few minutes for each. Nothing we requested was delivered to the table by the server but by someone different every time where requests like ranch dressing with the cheese sticks was overlooked where we had to flag down our order taker and re-request the items and wait. None of our dirty dishes or glasses were ever removed from the table but rather left to form a towering pile of dirty dishware off to the side of the table where it remained until after we had left. I had a hard time leaving any tip for this order taker what so ever but couldn't bring myself to stiff her knowing a portion of that tip would go to those who did her job for her by delivering everything to the table and eventually clearing it off.
Based on this entire experience, I would have to say that chain based dining in the US is no longer about the food, experience or service but rather about profit margins and false public corporate images created by marketing departments. I guess I need to stick with smaller non-chain establishments where the focus is still on the food, the experience and the overall satisfaction of a providing a great experience. Clearly that has long been forgotten by corporate...
Read moreWe to celebrate my anniversary with my husband of 8 years and had to wait 15 mins for drink order to be given. Manager offered us free wings to make up for wait and after getting the chicken wings they were cold. Anyone that knows food safety knows that a quick way to get someone sick is food being in the danger zone. Not proper reheating or cooking of chicken can be very serious. When we asked to speak to joe Wilson the manager he came over and said sorry and asked what was going on. While I was speaking to him he cut me off and was very indifferent to what was going on. I guess this happens all the time because he wasn’t surprised at all. After placing our orders we received our medwell steak and my husband had ribs. My steak was rare but I did not want to say anything else. The manager never came back to check and see how the food was and the server was way too busy. I work in food and under stand stuff happens but I would never risk a customers safety and if a customer had a issues I would do a follow up with the customer to make sure it was better. I hope this place gets more training ie: customer complaints, food safety, proper reheating and cooking. After waiting for the drinks I wanted to leave but my husband said to give them another chance and that brining it to the manager attention would help. This did not work. Next time I will leave at the first sign of a issue. I have contacted the company and I also have pics. I have made my profile pic of the steak I had tonight. My steak was suppose to be med well. I received rare...
Read moreWe had my daughter's birthday dinner here. We had a large group. I arrived at 6pm to reserve a table. We only had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was the Friday before Valentine's Day. The waitress We had was awesome! We got our drinks while she took our appetizer orders. Then she came and took our orders. All of the adults got the 2 for $25 menu. 2 kids meals came out. Then 2 appetizers came out. We waited and waited and waited on our food. Finally we had to speak to a manager. It WAS NOT our waitress' fault at all. It was the cooks and people working the back that were at fault. Finally all of our food came out around 8:30-9. And I got my appetizer with my meal. We were all so frustrated and tired by that time we just boxed our food up to go. Our meals came with dessert but the manager did give all of the kids a dessert and brought our dessert as well. And she did discount our tickets. So I paid $23 for a $25 meal, so it wasn't much of a discount. But that wasn't the manager's fault either. We were there from 6pm until around 9:30 and got our food 15 minutes before we left. The manager and the waitress did a great job. But whomever is over the manager wouldn't allow her to comp. our food. Needless to say it will probably be a while before we return. Waiting 3 1/2 hours is too long when we were seated 30 minutes...
