Super 8 by Wyndham Cleveland TX — Hotel in Cleveland

HORRIBLE PLACE! Would give a negative review if I could. Hurricane Harvey affected our area and had to evacuate, unfortunately this is the only place we could make it to. Just checking in, there was no one at the desk. price per night differed with the one on internet. We paid $109/night and $20 for each pet, too expensive for the quality of place they offer. Our room had dust behind every item in the room and the toilet, the bedding had small holes and was not changed in the 3 days we stayed with them. No breakfast, No extra towels (lady at the front desk told us to reuse the ones we had) towels were worn out, the male and female at the front desk do everything because they have no staff, key cards would malfunctioned and had to tell them to open our door and were rude about it because "That never happens". The owner is completely rude and has no respect for his guests, he complained about our pets that we were PAYING for. While cleaning the room with us inside, closed the door and told us that the room smelled and we had to get rid of the smell as if their room was clean to begin with and no place will ever ask you to clean anything yourself. we left even though our house was flooded because we could not deal with the hostile environment. They suspiciously observe people and tell their guest that they can only enter through the front because that way they know if you have someone else but the back door was actually open as well. Checking out, again they complaint about our pets and a whole lot of excuses to tell us that they would not refund us our deposit and they also tried to charge us Taxes. I am sharing my story because it just speaks for itself of the type of motel this is. The lady at front desk told us when leaving that other places were accepting evacuees for free with their pets and that made me sad because she could of helped so many people with that information. DO NOT RECOMMEND! they don't deserve your business, definitely need to run the business so much better and learn how to make their guests feel welcome specially know how to lend a hand. We didn't complained because we had nowhere to go but the way we were treated with our pets it's unacceptable, because the place is "pet friendly" or at least that is what they want people to believe.

This was the worst hotel stay I had in a very long time. I called about a week before I booked&stayed here, asking if their pool was already back open, was told yes. When I check into the hotel I am told the pool is not open and that "I should know how hard it's been since the winter storm to get a plumber". Ummmm, no - that is not my responsibility as a guest to know that. You responsibility however is it to provide accurate information on the phone. I also found out that there was no breakfast whatsoever. I was given a room where the AC had not been turned on, so i sat in a room at 80 or so degrees for at least 2 hours until the room finally cooled down. I then went downstairs to use their "business center", which is listed as an amenity on their website and shows a picture of it. I am told "we haven't had a business center in years but I can print documents out for you here". So I go back upstairs and email them what I need printed. Only at that point am I being informed that they want $2/page Cash. Are you friggin kidding me?! Thats highway robbery! So all in all, me coming here to get business donw was a complete failure, and I should have just booked the Best Western in town. Horrible attitude of the owners, I got not one apology. Update your horrible website, it's called FALSE ADVERTISEMENT when half the information isnt accurate!!! Also, the room was not very clean, the bedding was kind of nasty, very tired room. Their AC does not have setting to keep it going, so you wake up (if you get lucky to fall asleep) every 5 minutes when the AC kicks back on. So on top of not getting the work done I needed, I also didnt get any sleep....

Motel people nice and helpful, worked with us because of our situation but their town... Most unfriendly people I've ever encountered. My daughter ran into car trouble while taking a friend to Cleavland to meet up with another friend. It was night and we live 4 hours away in Denton. I didn't have a tow kit so they got a room for the night so the following day i could go after work after purchasing and installing the tow kit. Cop stopped to help them then told them go on to the room car is fine in the parking lot that had no tow at owners expense signs. The following day I get off of work early at 2:00 I spend hours trying to find a place that has the kit in stock that I could purchase right then, then I found a tow bar, then I went back home to install everything. When I finally got almost done my daughter calls and says the car is gone. I told her to call the non-emergency police line and sure enough it had been towed. Had not even sat there for 24 hours and a cop actually told them it was okay to leave it there and again no signs posted saying tow at owners expense. Of course tow yard said that we would have to pay the tow I told them no we didn't issue the tow whoever issued the tow without sign saying if it were there would be towed has to pay for the tow and I will pay for the storage. After arguing back and forth I decided that the car just wasn't worth trying to take them to court over so they could just have it and they seriously asked for the title. I told them where they could put the car and that they could file for a lost title. Horrible inconsiderate pos town full of pos people. Motel people were sweet tho....
