Agave Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Cleveland

I usually dont like to leave bad reviews, but y'all people need to know. This is the 2nd time this happens to me after eating at this place. I ate there Friday and was very sick over the weekend. Me and my daughter both ate from the same soup and both of us were sick. Now im very nervous about going back because I dont know how clean the place is anymore if it got me that sick for a few days. Its a shame because I really love to support local places. I called the manager and to be honest, She didn't seem to pay much attention to me. First, she didn't want to take the call, 2nd when she did returned the call, said that nobody else had reported anything on Friday. She said someone called Saturday, but they make soups daily. So it must be one of their cooks then. She didn't offer any solution or apologized until the very end of the call. Her customer service was absolutly poor. We ate here 8/2/22. We use to eat here all the time until we had an issue with one of the waitresses and we stop going the food is usually good except having to deal with this one waitress we saw it was time to stop going here.This Tuesday night my husband chose Agave the waitress we had issues with was working but she didn’t wait on us,although I watched for her and she was definitely watching us. We ate,paid ,and left almost immediately after Getting in the car my stomach started hurting. Was sick all night and not doing good the next day…. My husband was not sick at all. I’m disappointed in this restaurant. We did complain earlier about this waitress and she didn’t serve us for a long time but she always found a reason to slip by where we were seated I caught her starring at us many times and so it was extremely uncomfortable so we quit going because obviously this issue was not handled. She still works there. We will not be back there or at least I will not ever go...

WOW, why did it take us so long to try this gem??? We have talked about trying it for several years, but we would always forget when we were in the area. Let me start with the staff. All were very polite, welcoming, and friendly. But, we had the pleasure of having Brooke as our waitress, and she was a delight. She was very attentive and engaging, very kind and down to earth, but knew when to let you eat. We ordered the Mexican Enchiladas, the lunch version of Tacos Al Carbon, an alacart crispy taco. Everything was SO good. And get this.. they offer everyone a complimentary small Queso (a second bowl for $2), salsa, and green sauce. Oh, did I mention the salsa is warm! YUM!!! And offered a to go drink. The only thing I could say on a downside would be that the music was a little louder than we prefer.. but not overpowering, we could still carry a conversation.
