Old Fort — Restaurant in Cleveland

It’s very rare to go in and have a waitress with a good attitude but the food has been good and fresh at least so we kept going. Well all that changed today and I refuse to ever go back. My family and a few others waited more than a hour for our food when people that were sat down after us were getting their food before us. We finally got our food and out tots were a deep brown burnt/crispy, my 3 year old sons chicken tenders were legit so tiny and burnt he couldn’t even get his fork through it. I asked them to remake it and the owner to it back and when they brought his new plate and we cut into his chicken, IT WAS RAW! My jumbo cheeseburger was soft and red through out. I couldn’t force myself to eat and after my son got that raw chicken I brought it up to the front and told the wife owner that I’m done and we are leaving and showed her the raw chicken and her exact words was “well it’s not burnt like the other ones!” Worst service, longest wait, no napkins, didn’t give us refills, didn’t bother to give us our rolls/muffins while we waited and got a attitude when I asked for them for the babies to snack on while we wait…and nasty looks from the waitress when you ask for anything. Could not believe the owners reaction to the food though....

I am very heartbroken today with the treatment my autistic son received. We let him watch my phone while he is eating, so that he will eat. Whether you agree with that parenting style or not, please do not judge because you don't understand the trials and struggles we have had with just getting him to get food in his belly. Up until now, I considered Old Fort Restaurant a safe place for him to eat and enjoy his meal. However, today, we were told we were being too loud and that we could not play videos in the public place because it was too loud, even though they had the TV going and several families in there, and I personally could not even hear the video that my son was watching. I have been going here with both my boys since they were born (5 years), and no one has ever complained or said anything. I would beg you guys to have more mercy and compassion for the special needs community, and even if customers complain, come talk to us and have a conversation with us instead of just asking us to leave in a rude manner. Came with 3 adults and 1 child. My mom ordered the club sandwich with fries and tatortots and mozzarella sticks. I ordered chicken and dumplings with baby carrots, broccoli and cheese, and peaches. Husband ordered ham with corn,peaches, and Mac n cheese. Son order veggie plate with broccoli and cheese, carrots, and peaches. We also had a order of fried pickle spears. It took for ever to get our food. My moms bacon on her sandwich was black and really hard. Her tatortots didn’t come out to we were almost done eating. They where cold and gross they also looked like they were fried in oil that had cornmeal in it. My food: chicken and dumplings were absolutely gross. Broccoli and cheese was ice cold. Husbands food was fine. Sons food was fine besides his broccoli and cheese being cold too. We asked to speak to a manager and instead our server came over and asked what we need I told her to speak to a manager and she just took a couple things off the bill and never let us speak to a manager.
